Does this give you any indication of where their parts come from?

The Mikuni CV are great carbs and I don't blame H_D for using them. But it does make me laugh that my Ohio made Honda VTX has more American parts than many H-Ds.

Harley had to source carbs from overseas because the domestic supplier (Bendix) unilaterally decided to get out of the motorcycle carb business. This started a long time ago (1970s I think).

HOTTIEBOY, you are correct about many Harley parts being made in Japan. I heard recently that 93% of the Harley Electra Glide is made in the United States.
97% of the Honda Goldwing is made in the United States.
If true it is an interesting fact.

I know where all the parts come from, from the Showa forks, to the Kehien carb. It's not a problem for me, so why is it a problem for you. Your whole bike came from Japan and that's not a problem, so I don't get it.
