Here's the problem that CNN has - IF we are to believe that the problem was caused by a "glitch" in the switcher, what caused the "crawl" to appear below the televised picture of the Vice-President? A "switcher glitch" doesn't explain either action.
CNN is condoning the actions of one or more people in the control room and signaled that this was acceptable behavior when they immediately excused it as a "glitch". Despite the claim that they are conducting an "investigation", don't expect anything substantive to come out of it that discovers who at CNN actually did it.
CNN has just spit on the Vice-President of the United States and they're going to get away with it.
Was this a one-time "X", or did it repeat several times?

Yes, You're right. My Father was an engineer at WCMH TV4 for something like 35 years till he retired from there. I've been in the control room many times in my younger years and I know they did that on purpose.
These sorts of events, the bullseye on Bush, the X on Cheney, the choices of unflattering pictures when reporting on conservative personalities, the Rice "doctored" photo.....these sorts of treatments do not happent to Demoncrats or the other assorted flotsam and wastes of human skin that the MSM loves, admires and supports.
CNN lies in all its incarnations. It is an evil entity that exists for the usual demonic Leftist purposes.
They did an experient on FOX and Friends yesterday morning using Brian Kilmeade as the guenny pig. They showed how it was done

I had a thanksgiving gathering of 20 or so friends. My best friend's current girlfriend works at a local station and does video editing. She told me there was no way in heck the X could have been shown, she was watching the live feed for local rebroadcast and there was no anomalies in the feed they send to other broadcasters.
I asked her if she had heard of the controversy. She said no.
She also said if this had happened that it was a disgruntled employee that was the perpetrator. She said that anyone who screws with the on air feeds are normally terminated immediately.
Unless we hear that video editors have been terminated; they as "unbiased arbiters of truth" are seriously discredited, since they cannot control the content they broadcast, similar to ABC and the "wardrobe malfunction" -this is a technical "error" that was done abosutely on purpose.
These are the dying gasps of a dinosaur media.
The careers of journalists,producers, editors are not nearly as stable a career as when most of them started. Consolidation and downsizing are hitting most of the Lamestream Media, just like manufacturing,banking, IT and the services sector.
The content is the product. People will go elsewhere for their information and have. Most of us adults who do not need to be spoon fed reality are turning elsewhere. When the advertising goes, networks that pull this crap will go down the tubes. Soros and friends dont have enough money to subsidize all the media and the DNC. I am getting to enjoy the marketing calls by the local paper.
I guess Ted Turner will have to spend some of his billions to keep CNN afloat, he may not have enough leftover to subsidize AOL and the UN. That's what really torques them off.
Certainly if the RATS are going complain about RATS in BUREAUCRATS in a Republican tv ad, then we are justified in wondering just what the hell went on here.
