If chemicals and physics explain my thoughts, does that
mean that my thoughts about chemicals, and physics are
due to the actions of chemicals and physics?
If so, my thoughts are not really "mine", and are
just programmed into me, therefore my thoughts about
chemicals and physics may not be true. In fact the concept
that I am "me" and that I have "thoughts" or that
"I" exist could be programmed into me and not be real at all.
That is why no worldview which denies any existence outside
of the physical reality can ever be absolutely "true" in any sense. If it IS true then our thoughts, and existence
is an illusion, and we cannot say or believe ANYTHING
(that includes atheism, tootsie rolls are good, birds
fly, cells evolve, etc)

Indeed, considering that religious belief has coincided with the fairly remarkable success of humans vis-a-vis the atheistic Dodo bird, perhaps religious insight isnt gratuitous programming after all? HUH?
Are cockroaches, sharks and crocodiles Christian?

"Someone who has a scientific worldview can actually get more appreciation from nature than someone with a religious worldview. When you look at the ... nuances of Darwinian evolution, it's far more interesting, far more beautiful, than what you find in the Bible."
