Bruce Willis to Make Pro-American Movie About Iraq War

Hollywood A-lister Bruce Willis is set to buck the Hollywood trend of running from the heroics of the American troops in Iraq and is set to make a pro-war film about the American soldier.

In the film, American soldiers will be accurately depicted as the brave fighters for freedom and democracy that they are, according to a report in the Sunday Times UK.

The patriotic actor recently put his money where his mouth is - offering up a million dollar bounty on the heads of Islamofascists Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri or Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Heartbreak Ridge is what I was thinking of. It's still very popular with the military, even among the new kids that haven't actually heard of Grenada because they weren't alive for it.

I tell you, there's nothing that'll make you feel older than hearing one of your soldiers tell you that she just graduated from high school last year. A lot of these young troops that know nothing about other wars are now experts in this one.

I saw that movie about 2 weeks ago, and that movie ( at least for me, has not gotten old to watch ) .
Clint Eastwood's character had a bunch of goof brains, and slackhards to deal with, not to mention a egotistical commander that hated him.
It was inspiring to watch how " OLD GUNNY " ( I think that is what his character's name was ) took those guys, and molded them into not only honorable Marines, but, a top notch recon unit.
By the way, my nephew ( US Marine ) was in Iraq last year, and part of this year, and was in the battle of Falljah, and I got the truth about Iraq, more then I would ever gotten from the stinking rotten MSM.

With the right message, and the TRUTH, one person can effect for the good many of thousands, and millions more than a thousand of stinking rotten Liberal/MSM/Democrat/Hollywood lying hypocrite loser elitist.

There is TON's of outstanding "real life" material available to script writers. There are so many unsung hero's in this war, they could make a 100 movies and still only scratch the surface. Once the American people see their kids through the eyes of an honest film director and script writer, they'll be begging for more.

I'm really surprised that Mel Gibson hasn't already brought something to the market. Maybe he just hasn't found the right script yet.

The real question is which one of the pro-Moore/pro-terrorist Hollywood icon's will clamor to play the hero? Hollywood will boil with envy if the film is successful.

Yes, he will, because he will address a huge need which has been largely ignored by the MSM in this nation. We are a strong and proud people..We are smart, industrious and over all, good. We know that the abuse of individuals through isolation from others, constant browbeating, and the taking away of individual freedom and hope is devastating. So is abuse of one's nation, using these same tactics. People who do not have the time to read, study and keep up because of job and family responsibilities can learn a lot through a well done movie. We will all support Bruce Willis in this. God bless him! He seems to be a great American.

And how long did it take Hollywood to step up to the fight for WW2?

Not terribly long, as far as I can tell.

We live in truly evil times, and we have a long battle still to fight\.  Not all of our enemies are overseas.

Thank GOD for Bruce Willis and the few brave souls in Hollywood who dare to buck the Leftist, anti-American status quo.

I hope that Mr. Willis will make a BILLION dollars from his movie venture....perhaps that will encourage some of the COWARDS in Hollyweird to follow his lead.

I am absolutely for an honest and patriotic portrayal of the American soldier. And I am hoping that any moral and patriotic general staff officers we have remaining will be able to shake off the influence of the social engineers that are attempting to destroy our armed forces by using them as social laboratories.

I speak specifically of (1.) the male-female soldier fraternization and promiscuity in the ranks. I also speak of (2.) women in combat areas, especially where our military deliberately and knowingly placing mothers with children at home in places where they can be in the line of fire, as is happening in Iraq.

The things I have mentioned are indicators of what the nation we love and defend is becoming. Bruce Willis' films are seen around the world. I have seen them being shown in China. The world's people get their ideas of what America is (and is becoming) from Hollywood films. Okay, people around the world see the roles Bruce Willis plays, and says, "That's what Americans are like." So Bruce Willis, in their eyes, will be promoting the good soldier that defends the America that is the creeps that they see in Mr. Willis' other Hollywood roles.

Just one very real way to think about all of this. I love America, and I hope that the world would see our Nation as being GOOD. When I am on a bus in Shanghai, and see the Chinese staring at many of the weirdos from America that somehow have enough money to travel there, I am embarrassed. When I tune in to Voice of America on short wave radio overseas, I don't wonder that Asians believe that ALL Americans are Acid Rock and Rap music fans. VOA has ended virtually all symphonic and folk music from its programming, and then claims to represent what America IS to foreign audiences. Hence, to foreigners, we are all Rappers! Foreign TV is full of Sex In The City and Desperate Housewives type programming from America. So hundreds of millions of foreigners believe that America is all about those kinds of situations.

Thank you, Mr. Willis, for any attempt to portray the good and right in the American military, and God bless our young people who do have their lives on the line for the USA and OUR interests. AND let's be GOOD and RIGHT, and let's let the world see GOOD and RIGHT in all aspects of American life and society. AND let's ask Mr. Willis to portray the GOOD and RIGHT in other film roles as well.
