I'm with you. I'll stick with Genesis. I believe God created humans in their present form and that we did not turn from ape-like creature to human.

Cool, now if you are Born Again, guess we'll have a long, long, long time together.

When you take Genesis literally, you lose the message behind the meaning. And no, Evolution doesn't rule out God.

The reason for this liability is simple: While a growing array of fossils shows evolution occurring over several billion years, information arising from a variety of other scientific fields is confirming and extending the evolutionary record in thoroughly compelling ways.

This is simply not true. Signed, a Ph.D. in the biological sciences working in molecular neurobiology.

That's fine if you believe that, you can believe whatever you want. Just don't try to pretend it can ever be science, unless you want to bring some sort of evidence in favor of your belief to the table.

Genesis says death started with the sin committed by Adam and Eve. There was no death prior to this. Evolution says we basically started as "germs" and through death, life evolved.

As an x-evolutionist, I am now with you.

I now see evolution as a denial of God's Word, and God Himself indirectly, and the attempt to mix evolution with Christianity as compromise with the world.

I turned away from evolution more than 30 years ago and have never doubted God's Word since. Not once.
