This is sick. Disturbing beyond words.

The misuse of "God has a plan" must have replaced "I've got to get on with my life" as an excuse for not being penitent about committing evil deeds.

Even this abortionist, William F. Harrison says his mother told him that God had a plan for him.

But my mother always said to me, "the Lord has a special purpose for your life."

>>"the Lord has a special purpose for your life."<<

Sure, the broad, wide road to hell has to be filled with SOMEBODY!

This is the worst of the entire article:

His first patient of the day, Sarah, 23, says it never occurred to her to use birth control, though she has been sexually active for six years. When she became pregnant this fall, Sarah, who works in real estate, was in the midst of planning her wedding. "I don't think my dress would have fit with a baby in there," she says.

I have no words...

And people wonder why, in California, a statue of Mary is crying tears of blood?

I guess that it's okay for Harrison's "God" to have a purpose for him, but not okay for Harrison's God to have a purpose for people who are open to the idea that abortion is wrong.

I'm flabbergasted that anti-abortion folks are labeled as trying to force their religious beliefs on others. It's obvious that some factor, other than religion, is entering into the reasoning of some pro-life people.

Dr. Harrison seems to believe he was/is religious and, yet, he is pro-abortion. Some people can be a-religious, and yet oppose abortion. Some religious people can oppose abortion for a-religious reasons.

A third of all women in this country will have at least one abortion by the time they're 45. "You think there's room in hell for all those women?" the nurse will ask.

Plenty.

It's the liberal religion of "me-ology".

I'm crying too. God help us, indeed. My son was born (due to incompetent cervix) at 20 weeks, alive and moving. He was the most amazing perfect tiny baby I have ever seen. And my heart breaks knowing that babies his age are butchered every day and that it's legal.

I also know that the abortion mentality has infected the minds of ob/gyns everywhere. My OB blew off every symptom of pre-term labor that I had. If he really believed that my son's life was worth protecting, why would he have done that? Both my son and I are victims of the abortion culture. But I feel utterly powerless to do anything about it, except pray.

My only concern is that we are to far gone to care.

Face it, all of the chastisements in the world wouldn't change some.

Harrison: But if it is read as a rebuke of militant, exclusivist, hostile and violent or violence promoting religious bigots, of those who have just enough religion to kindle sectarian hatreds, but whose faith is not nearly sufficient to quicken love and respect for others simply because of their humanity, this is exactly how I meant it.

Oh the irony...Isn't that the kettle calling the pot black?

Personally I thought Stephanie was the worst:

The last patient of the day, a 32-year-old college student named Stephanie, has had four abortions in the last 12 years. She keeps forgetting to take her birth control pills. Abortion "is a bummer," she says, "but no big stress."

No repentance there.

This is sick, our society has become way too selfish and we will pay for it one day. "Stephanie" a 32 year old college student? Ain't she a little too old? Doesn't she have a job? Sorry to get off the beaten path but that also struck me as well.

I tend to find this to be the most disturbing point in the article. Simply because of the completely ridiculous nature of the statement.

God, an entity of infinite power, is capable of setting (at the very least) the universe into into motion, or even into being. He is capable of miracles, suspending the physical rules of existance for his purposes. So on, and so on. The majesty of this entity forces the pious man into complete humility. Pretty darn impressive.

Apparently however, when faced with a large number of sinners and their accomplices, he will be simply swamped and will let things slide for administrative convience. Like heaven was a small town in rural Alberta with a poorly designed courthouse, and a 2 day a week judge. We would all LIKE this to be the case, but it is far more likely that we're going to be held to account. Personally, I'm not looking forward to it.

Anyway, in the interests of brevity: "Stuck on stupid"

He calls himself an "abortionist" and says, "I am destroying life." But he also feels he's giving life: He calls his patients "born again."

God-like. Taker and giver of life.

[Dr. Harrison] seems to have a problem with spelling

I hope he scribbles down the correct words on his prescription pad.
