November 30, 2005--If Hillary Clinton runs for President in 2008, just 25% of Americans say they would definitely vote for her. That's down five points over the past two weeks. It's also the lowest level of support measured for the former First Lady in 2005. (Review Trends).
Forty percent (40%) would definitely vote against Senator Clinton. That's little changed from two weeks ago. Rasmussen Reports has conducted a Hillary Meter poll every other week since April. Only once has the number who say they would definitely vote against Clinton been higher than it is now.

Forty-five percent (45%) now see Clinton as politically liberal. Over the past seven months, the number viewing her as politically liberal has ranged from a low of 42% to a high of 48%, often settling around the current level of 45%.
Thirty-five percent (35%) view New York's Junior Senator as politically moderate while 6% say she's conservative.
Collectively, today’s Hillary Meter places Senator Clinton a net 56 points to the left of the nation's political center. Two weeks ago, she was 53 points to the left of center
The political center is calculated by subtracting the number of liberals from the number of conservatives among the general public (35% conservative, 18% liberal for a net +17). For the Senator, 6% conservative minus 45% liberal equals a net minus 39. The minus 39 reading for Senator Clinton is 56 points away from the plus 17 reading for the general public.
Nationally, 38% of Americans have a favorable opinion of New York's junior Senator while 43% hold an unfavorable view. Demographic Cross Tabs are available for Premium Members.
Twenty-eight percent (28%) of Americans say New York's junior Senator is "very likely" to win the Democratic nomination in 2008. Another 26% say she is "somewhat likely" to be the party's nominee. Senator Clinton leads the pack among Democratic Primary voters, attracting more votes than the next three candidates combined.

I just wish everyone on this site would pay attention to these numbers and stop talking about her as a threat. These numbers have shown up in other polls as well. She CAN'T WIN giving up 4 of 10 voters before she starts.
Today, Hillary! is returning to offend-nobody, focus-tested "Small Ball" initiatives like regulating violence in video games and pork projects like extending the clean-up zone at Ground Zero into Long Island. The great themes of War and Peace and National Security have been lost to the President.
But the days of Sistah Souljah and mandatory bicycle helments for kiddie-poos are over. People aren't going to fall for that sort of window-dressing anymore. Unless Hillary! can come up with credible solutions to the big issues, she is toast.
The irony here is that she has tried to given the appearance of a hawk on the war debate. I wonder what this means for the shrill defeateist dems?
Bottom line: Don't want to risk having another Toon in the WH, don't vote Dem or RINO (in the primaries).

I am a conservative republican and that is how I vote UNLESS there is a good person running against someone I do not agree with or I dislike. I have voted democrat one time (for kennedy) and later on regretted it. Joe Leiberman should run against hillereee...he would leave her so far back in the dust she would need a compass (if she knows how to use one) to get back to reality.

Joe ran in '00 and '04. Not likely he'd run in '08. The BASE elects the nominee in the primaries, and the Dem base is klearly kommie kooks. They'd never select anyone nearly as sane as Joe. Al Gore, Dean, even Michael Moore would have a better chance. As lonag as the Far left is in charge of the votes and the $$$, the Dem Party will maintain it's insanity factor............
You always have to maintain an eye on anyone even remotely in run for the presidency so you aren't caught off guard, but I'm definitely not inclined to think at this time she's going to be the nominee. She has little to recommmend herself outside of the name.
Well, maybe one of these days Joe will cross over. Sean Hannity tries now and then to get him to do it. Joe Leiberman is a good, honest, decent man so who knows? Stranger things have happened.

Meanwhile, as we all wring our hands about Hillary running, the Dems work out who will be the real candidate. She ain't running, and we've fallen right into the trap. 'Look at the left hand, don't pay any attention to what the right one is doing'

Hard to believe, isn't it? Her conservative-moderate total is now 41% according to Rasmussen. I would say that is just about according to plan, and that by 2008 she will easily get it well over 50%

Actually Clinton is still the Donkey Party's best chance is 2008, and it's not a good chance. She would get creamed by either McCain or Giuliani. Probably by Rice too. I realize the first two aren't real popular with many conservatives on this forum, but both are pro killing our enemies an attitude severely lacking on the Dem side.
