The UMKC Campus Greens expressed their sentiments about the Iraq War with a peace action in the Quad on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Memorial flags dotted the Quad to represent the lives lost in Iraq.
Thursday morning, the flags lay disassembled in a pile, someone else's statement on the war. A sign on top read, "How many hippies die from smoking crack each year?"

It should be OK to burn them then, shouldn't it? You know, free speech and all. So why are they upset that the flags were just messed up?

Maybe it was campus a custodian who was just cleaning up, and had to go back for a garbage bag.
