Why haven't the Segway company integrated collision avoidance into the machine. It should be obvious that you don't want it driving into an obstacle, living or not.

Why haven't the Segway company integrated collision avoidance into the machine. It should be obvious that you don't want it driving into an obstacle, living or not. You could say the same about all of those powered scooters people drive around in stores and on the sidewalks. Those things have more mass than the Segway.
