The passenger's condition was not immediately disclosed. Blam!
At worst he's just wounded.

If I was flying as a passenger, I wouldn't even claim I had a nerf stick in my baggage.

The idea that a Marshall should not shoot a raging passenger because his traveling companion claims he is mentally ill is ridiculous.

Nerf sticks, when used by trained personnel, can be deadly.

He's dead. The air marshals carry pistols in 357 Sig, the champagne of automatic pistol rounds.

It is my understanding that these folks are, as a very important qualification for the job, very acurate with sidearms in confined spaces.
Me thinks that the marshal hit where he was aiming and the target did not survive the wound.

Baggage? What baggage? I do not have any baggage on this plane sir? In fact, I have nothing in my pockets, I am wearing flip-flops and don't wear underpants.

This is the first time an air marshal has fired on or near a plane.
