We can't segragate people on plans. The Muslims are taught to kill infedels as part of their religion. If we stop them from killing us, we take away their freedom to practice their faith. The ACLU will not have that. Besides, if we told them they couldn't kill us, it might hurt their feelings. And that is not what we were taught in diversity training.

Yes, If he said he had a bomb...consider him a terrorist until proven otherwise. Insane, or someone playing a prank. I don't care. Just not funny.

I can hardly wait to hear the talking head liberals, ie. Alan Colmes, defend this "poor victim" and attack the good guys. Maybe not. The libs understand which side the flying public is on. Representative Kucinich, one of the more liberal members of the House, was interviewed on MSNBC and he was strongly defending the air marshalls. Actually in listening to three networks, I have yet to hear one person question the shooting. Regretable that the guy had to die but you error on the side of passenger safety in a post 911 world.

A nut case American citizen with a blonde wife committed "suicide by cop" when he went off his bi-polar meds.

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind. But think about this; a 44 year old American with bipolar disorder returning from Columbia with his wife. Now, that can be very Innocent, but could also be suspicious.
Again, whatever! The fact is, this guy acted irrationally, didn't respond properly to air marshal demands, and was wasted (confirmed by Fox News). Oh, well!
Incidentally, they're now reporting that no bomb was found (I could have told them that when they televised the luggage outside the plane on the tarmac being checked by dogs...they didn't find anything on the perp). Any guesses on where this is going to go?????

It was reported on Fox News Network that the marshals had caught up with the man and, after a struggle, had him on the ground. It was when the man was on the ground that he reached into the bag. At that moment the man was shot.

That was a sarcastic remark that I made to "small voice in the wilderness" regarding a post that he made about separating people. Follow along with us.

A passenger who claimed to have a bomb in a carry-on bag was shot by a federal air marshal
Nice shooting.

I guess all bombs have to look like the proverbial cartoon spherical bomb with a fuse (fuze? -- Army manual preferred spelling) sticking out of it being tossed back and forth between a wabbit and a funny looking hunter. ************
LOL! You make a good point. I was watching NBC early this morning, and the anchorette was typically lacking in credibility. I don't think many of them are chosen for their expertise, either political or military.

GREAT! Noone would ever hijack a plane ever again after hearing that.

Exactly. There is no margin for error in matters of this kind.
As Condi Rice said (and I paraphrase), we don't want the smoking gun evidence to be a mushroom cloud or, in this case, a plane and passengers blown to bits.

I wonder when Cindy SHe-man will open a camp to protest air marshalls and their undeclared war on passengers

I expect SHe-man would indeed to what you suggest if she thought it might get her another 5 minutes of air time. Hopefully, she is off somewhere getting a face replacement.

I guess that will about cover yelling about having a bomb on an American airliner.

Regarding what you or anyone else and their wife would do on bipolar meds when skipping a dose you don't know. You don't from jack really, except I should not be be so harsh -- we all have unfounded opinions that differ considerably from reality on stuff we've never experienced or that we have limited exposure to.
Here ... consider the case of Martin Luther, the Protestant, claimed by some reputable sources to have been bipolar. Would you have the emotional and intellectual energy to stand up to him during one of his manic swings?

I'm not sure I fully understand the gist of your reply, but let me say this: The wife may not be capable of forcing the husband to take his medications, but she is certainly capable of informing the airline that her husband, as a passenger under their care, may act irrationally because of his disuse. I believe this should have been done. It's one thing to not take one's medications when alone or when no one else may be affected by any reaction that occurs. It's something quite different when any reaction may occur within a confined space such as an airline cabin, or even in a public square. There is a responsibility here as I see it.
I hope this is the point you were addressing. If not, please reply again.
