In related - and actual - news, Diebold's CEO resigned yesterday amid charges of securities fraud.

You are correct about the resignation. However, the only sources I can find about securities fraud are from sites like Democratic Underground.
Your post is misleading, unless you have access to a source that shows the SEC is investigating Diebold. Do you have one?
On resignation: O'Dell Resignation
If indeed, the SEC is looking at something odd with respect to securities fraud, this would be a major black eye.

Why is it that so many FReepers seem to spend a lot of time at DU? I've never been there, but from the descriptions here it sounds like the worst aspects of FR except from the other side of the political fence. Can't imagine wasting my time with that.
I read this on a legal site. I'll try to find it again - it didn't say anything about SEC involvement, but did say a massive securities fraud lawsuit was about to be filed against the company. The article didn't say, but I presume it is a shareholder suit.

Didn't go there. It just showed up on Google. Some other sites I looked at also had a lefty feel about them ( with the subsequent hangup on voting machines ).

Interesting post, yet I can't find anything specific to disagree with.
The trends in the nation are obvious, yet it's undeniable that there's something evil in the air in the city of Wash, DC. I just don't know what it is.

There are plenty of districts where the Democrats can definitely get close enought to play their fraud cards.
That is all fast Eddie Rendell, Slick Dick Daley, and "Just Get Me Close" Donna Brazile need to manufacture Democrat seats.
OK, so maybe they won't have a majority. The Democrat Party could definitely get enough votes in the House to make it a very messy scene in 2007-2008, setting up a return to the WH with more states' electoral votes captured by fraud.
Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Washington, AZ, NM, LA, and the Crown Jewel, California are wide open for electoral business as usual ....fraud.

(From now, until 2006, Vote Fraud is my issue. I wish it were the RNC's, too.)
