The purpose of this site

This site is not authored by anyone with direct access to confidential information. Rather, its purpose is to present to the public information that has been released, and to examine that information in a clear, balanced and intelligent light.

The background of the information

The information began to be released on 2 November 2005 by a retired senior official within the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) who calls himself “Anonymous”. Until he chooses to make his name known, this is the way he will be represented here. Anonymous reports that he is not acting individually and is part of a group of six DIA personnel working together as an alliance: three current and three former employees. He is their chief spokesman.

Makes for a good Hollywood script but,

there is zero discution of what really matters,

propulsion , unlimited energy and how it works.

Take that and add that it supposedly takes 9 months to travel 37 light years ? How? By sheer speed ? If so then travelling that fast would mean a tiny speck of dust would slice through a ship like a hot knife through butter.

Yep, if the ship actually "travels" through the medium and somehow doesn't jump, as in a wormhole, Stephen Hawkings type deal.

"How? By sheer speed ?"

Wormhole/warp technology?
Who knows. There are a lot of things we don't know yet.
There was a time we thought going faster than 50mph would kill a man.

Fires the imagination.

Could've been a good screenplay sold to Hollywood or fiction novel...wonder why someone is doing it for free?

Contact was better -- flame away, but I enjoyed the movie.

Did you read on the website that Sagan was supposedly brought into Project Serpo and may have based his novel on his experience?

wormhole !?

ok,you go first and if you don`t come out the other side looking like a 300 mile long string of spaghtti,I`m in.

Worping space to "jump" it requires the energy of something like a few millions stars.Or some ridiculous number like that.

My opinion, can`t be done.No such things as martians.
Beings from other dimensions yes,as in biblical demons here to deceive.

No, I missed that part. However, I do know that Sagan wrote the book for money (and because he had little to lose). He was already terminally ill and wanted to provide for his family.

I'm somewhat fascinated by the wacky stuff, not because I believe it, but because it acts as kind of a funhouse mirror that can -- though not always -- offer some insight to what people are thinking.

2) One of the principal home-based scientists (astronomer) contracted to assist us was Dr. Carl Edward Sagan. Initially, he was the biggest skeptic of the group. But as information was slowly analyzed, Dr. Sagan came back to the middle. I can't say he fully accepted every single piece of data, but he did agree on the final report.

[FAST FACTS ON Dr CARL E SAGAN: (Victor Martinez) Born in Brooklyn, NY on 11-9-'34 and died in Seattle, WA on 12-20-'96 of bone marrow cancer. He was an American astronomer, educator and planetary scientist and was the Director of the Laboratory for Planetary Studies at Cornell University. CONNECTING THE DOTS: "Project SERPO's" final report was written in 1980 with Dr Sagan having been brought in half way through the project. It is believed that he wrote his 1985 bestseller, CONTACT, based on his insider knowledge of the most secret project in human history: a human-alien exchange program of which he signed off on its final report! Years later, his book was made into the 1997 movie CONTACT starring Jodie Foster.]

"My opinion, can`t be done.No such things as martians. "

No doubt, the Mars rovers proved that!
This is harmless. I don't have a horse in this race. I find it interesting, that's all.
If you see it as a bunch of BS. Fine. (Probably is BS. LOTS of hucksters have been selling different versions of this).
BUT, it's fun. So, to speculate, imagine, wish... all ok as long as it doesn't cost me anything.

BS! -- you chill a reasonable glass, coat inside with vermouth and then add chilled Bombay Saphire with an olive...drink and repeat process.

Oh, wait, you said martians. Never mind.

Yup,

Make a fine movie if done with a sense of realism. Meaning the nitty-gritty of living on a hot dusty planet. Team members dying in an accident, some members deciding to stay, watching aliens trying to play baseball, taking a poop, etc.

That would be way better than any post-modern super special effects Star Wars movie any day.
