LA County DA Statement on Tookie Williams dated 11/16/2005
LA County District Attorney's Office ^ | 11/16/2005 | Steven Cooley, LA County DA et al

Posted on 12/09/2005 12:54:16 PM PST by rlmorel

I. INTRODUCTION On February 28, 1979, Stanley Williams murdered Albert Lewis Owens during a robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store. On March 11, 1979, Stanley Williams murdered Tsai-Shai Yang, Yen-I Yang and Yee-Chen Lin during a robbery at their family run motel, the Brookhaven. In March of 1981, a jury convicted Stanley Williams of the first-degree murder and robbery of Albert Lewis Owens, the first-degree murders of Tsai-Shai Yang, Yen-I Yang and Yee-Chen Lin, and the robbery of Tsai-Shai Yang.

The jury also found true the allegations that Williams personally used a shotgun during the commission of each of the murders and robberies. Finally, the jury found true the special circumstance allegations of robbery-murder and multiple murder.

On April 15, 1981, the trial court, following the jury’s recommendation, sentenced Williams to death. On October 11, 2005, the United States Supreme Court denied Williams’ petition for writ of Certiorari. On October 24, 2005, Williams’ execution date was set for December 13, 2005.

This cold-blooded killer, Stanley Williams, now seeks mercy, the very mercy he so callously denied Albert, Tsai-Shai, Yen-I, and Yee-Chen.

Stanley Williams does not deserve this mercy. In fact, despite the overwhelming nature of the evidence against him, ...

I know there have been dozens and dozens of posts on this, but I thought this document deserved its own thread. If I broke a rule by doing this, I apologize in advance.

I URGE everyone to read this statement from the DA. There are two reasons I think everyone should read it:

1.) Ammunition against liberals. This is an impossible document to refute, in my opinion. It was put together very well.

2.) It speaks VOLUMES about Liberals and their mindset. Their positions are a mile wide and a nanometer deep. They "feel" that capital punishment is wrong, unfair, and racist. They flock to the cause of this monster without even trying to scratch the surface. I find this reason that we must read this document most frightening and appalling. These people are connected to many who hold the reins of power in the governement.

But, but, but B.J. Honeycutt, I mean that mastermind Mike Farrell supports him. Shouldn't we all do so? Like, if ole B.J. says he is a nice guy, then we should believe this Hollyweird liberal, with a high school education, no college, not one course of college in fact, who calls Bush stupid? /sarcasm hot and running.

Williams laughed and joked about how the store clerk gurgled blood as he was breathing his last breaths. To this day he has not admitted guilt to the crime.

Thanks for post. I read it and also urge others to read it. Tookie is just pulling another scam. His remorse isn't over murder; it's remorse over paying the penalty.

Tookie said to the Jurors, "I am going to get each and every one of you M*ther F*ckers"

I can see why his fans in Hollywood think so highly of him.

Snoop Dog said "Tookie is our Martin Luther King."

At least I think it was Snoop Dog. Maybe it was a different rap "artist" -- I can't keep them straight.

I wonder how many of the "save Tookie" crowd has bothered reading what a waste of humanity he really is.

He was shot about 2 hours before he died.

From the LA DA's report:

The pathologist further explained that both of the Yen-I Yang’s wounds were inflicted when the end of the muzzle was only feet from Yen-I’s body. Despite the severity of these wounds, Yen-I clung to life. He was transported from the scene by paramedics to Daniel Freeman Hospital where he died at 6:53 a.m.

That's one of the things I find so disturbing about this from an ideological or political perspective: Is this guy the best they can do to find someone to rally around? I mean, if they want a anti-capital punishment poster boy, is an animal like this the best they can do?

He represents the same murderous, anti-authoritarian hatred that they share. He is an ideal poster-boy for their corrupt cause.

I guess they are the same people that thought the Black Panthers were a good thing...

I think that is one of the reasons I find David Horowitz's work so compelling...he KNOWS these people because he was one of them once!
