NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Talkers magazine reports conservative hosts Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are the most popular radio hosts in the United States.

More than 13.75 million people listen to Limbaugh per week while Hannity draws more then 12.5 million weekly listeners, Talkers reported.

Michael Savage is third with more than 8 million listeners a week.

There is tie for fourth place between shock jock Howard Stern -- soon due to move to Sirius Satellite Radio -- and Dr. Laura Schlessinger with more than 7.75 million weekly listeners, the New York Daily News reported Saturday.

Laura Ingraham filled out the Top 5 with more than 5 million.

Talkers said it used Arbitron data and "other reliable indicators" for its semiannual rankings report.

O`Reilly's got to be annoyed.

He's not even mentioned.

What always cracks me up is. The fact that Talk Radio is the MSM when it comes to numbers. Just look at those totals.

Hannity and Savage are virtually unlistenable (combination of boring RNC fax-of-the-day, general ignorance, dead-obvious commentary, lame repetitive topics and lack of debating skills), so everyone below them has to be really bad - do they even speak English?

Franken has been picked to play Curious George in a soon to be produced movie. The working title is Curious George and the High Voltage Electric Prison Fence.

"Memo to Rush: Do more parodies!"

Have you heard "We do run, run, run"? It's absolutely hysterical. End phrase: "Murtha's a fink!"

Where is Franken?

If there is a gloryhole around he has his eye up against it.

Wow, Franken is pitiful at 13...too bad Tony Snow's audience isn't higher. Alan Colmes is even more pathetic.

I agree and I think he made a fool of himself the way he slobbered over Lieberman. That was disgusting.

Hannity Number 2? Hmmm.

I would have exprected Laura Ingraham and Bill Bennett to come in far ahead of Hannity.

What makes my day is O'Reilly being left out. He might rule the cable networks but certainly doesn't attract much of an audience in radio land!!

O'Reilly has really been doing a stand-up job lately, especially in his defense of Christmas.
He's on our side a lot more than not. And he has clout.

The White House should take note of these numbers, and the messages conveyed to the audiences

Actually the Whine all the Time Choir should be taking notes. Never here Rush et al spending ANY of their time whining about what their OWN side is, or is NOT, doing. Rush constantly keeps his eye on the ball instead of wasting all his time having Ideological Purity Hissy fits

Is it me, or do these latest numbers show that Limbaugh has actaully lost audience? The Cultural Conventional Wisdom always stated he had between 15-20 million listeners (with the latter number always used as his standard benchmark number, by both conservatives AND liberals). If it's less than 14 million now, either the Conventional Wisdom numbers were always over inflated, or they were true and less listen to him now.

That's interesting and honest.

On the other hand, the Grammy Award nominess for 2006 ("Spoken Word Category") are Franken, Garrison Keilor (!!), and (get ready for this one) Barack Obama (!!!). Obama has been nominated for the audiobook of his autobiography.
