With vivid detail, he can recount story after story from
his 38 years of service.
Talk about your "good and faithful servant"!
And to think the ACLU, Michael Newdow, and a band of fellow-travelers
would send all the chaplains packing...

Navy Capt. Stephen Epperson, the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Chaplain, serves U.S. service members at Al Asad, Iraq. With vivid detail, he can recount story after story from his 38 years of service. I have every confidence in the future of our country because of the young people I see making sacrifices for freedoms future, said Epperson, a Pensacola, Fla., native. Every tour in my career has been a great one. Being here, Im surrounded with the best America has to offer.
Im constantly inspired and moved by the courage of our wounded veterans, said Epperson. Im amazed by their commitment to the mission. They all want to get back to their units, no matter if they are Marines, Soldiers or Sailors.

This is a good post. Thank you for posting it. Have you read any of the books written by any of the Chaplains from Iraq? I highly recommend "A Table in Their Presence" by Lt Cary H Cash. He was with the first group of Marines that entered Iraq at the beginning of the war.
