Just wondering, have there been any indications or threats of riots tonight in LA and other areas in response to the tookie execution. I'm sure Al Sharpton can explain how they plan to react peacefully.

I just asked this on another thread. I got a heart warming response about it being a riot watching Sean Penn crying. It looks like Tookie died and few cared while the rest of us are glad there is one less thug on the planet.
In north LA county. Haven't heard a peep.

I live in L.A. Just drove from Santa Monica to Hollywood a few minutes ago ... even skirted South LA for awhile along the freeway.
It never appeared that there were going to be riots. A lot of blacks also thought that Tookie should die.

There wasn't any riot. The Koreans have more weapons than last time, and the thugs have already stolen enough plasma TeeVee's and appliances for their crib.
Maybe the celebrities that supported him will riot instead.
I work more or less in the Baldwin Hills area, close to Crenshaw. There doesn't seem to be any tension. I would think that rioting would have been a spontaneous type of thing around here, so I'm not expecting any.

No, the MSM had it wrong. Most potential rioters know that this guy is guilty, that he was bad news, even if he reformed later. I dont think they have problems with justice being carried out. It is when there is a percieved miscarriage that they get all upset and then use that as an excuse to riot..
I laughed out loud while commuting to work this morning when the radio played a soundbite of one of the Stanley Tookie Williams "protestors" at San Quentin Prison who remarked:
"Governor Schwarzenegger and the rest of California just killed an innocent man!"
These crackpot people need to get a grip. He may have been a bunch of things...but innocent wasn't one of them. Why do they act like they had skin in that game? The world is a better place without that sociopath around.

Who cares? We are here in LA. No problem. Heck, the kind of people who would riot, riot all the time at the drop of a hat. We just stay indoors when that happens.
