I wish I could figure out whose side they're on so I could either praise them or call them commies. :)

But these are nice photos, thanks for posting them.

They are on our side!

btw, that Commie label doesn't apply to Iranian students.

We're different than those students in the US protesting the Iraq war or Pres. Bush

We want our freedom!

A non-moonbat university protest? I am intrigued and wish to learn more.

I thought it odd that sign was written in english in a country where virtually no one speaks english.

A little pimping for the media I suppose.

Great news. If only we could ship some of our college students over there, they might learn something about how "hard" they have it in America.

Good luck to the students, though I fear for their chances under their nation's current leadership. Tough times may be ahead, but if Iraq can have the beginnings of a democracy, anything is possible.

I wonder how many of these young people will "disappear"?

Yeah, that's the sad thing about seeing such code phrases as "bread for all" and such. But here's hoping those phrases don't mean the same thing there.

In college I remember the Iranian students protesting the Shah, then they got what they wanted... Ayatollah Khomeini (sp?)... I guess this would be the sons daughters and grandkids of the first group who aren't very happy with what their elders achieved for them.

I just want you to know how much I appreciate your contributions to this forum, your bravery, and your good spirit.

I have known two Iranians personally. I must say, they are two of the finest, most gracious, capable, and accomplished people I have ever known. I hope very much that someday you will have the freedom that our own President Carter denied you through his perfidy.

"We're different than those students in the US protesting the Iraq war or Pres. Bush We want our freedom!"

I truly hope so. I've seen too much from the democracy movements in Islamic countries that make me very nervous that they are looking to join the leftists, which would create an "out-of-the-frying-pan and into the fire type scenario. I pray you are right.

4000 students were arrested during June 2003 protests!

Go Figure!

Apologies. Most here at FR know that.
