Gov. Blanco minimized the lost of 1,200 people suggesting the dead were mostly old or sick in hospitals! The New Orleans dead were more than half the number of troops killed in the entire Iraq war, but in ONE day.
Gov. Blanko stands by her man, Mayor Ray Nagin.

The article refers to not ordering an evacuation "soon enough." How about leading off with her waiting until the day before, and only after the president intervened. Did anyone ask her why she was getting advice on NOT federalizing the national Guard, and blaming President Bush, from Mike McCurry?

"Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco (D) yesterday declared efforts to evacuate state and New Orleans residents before Hurricane Katrina "an outstanding success" What "success" there was happened DESPITE her failure to act, not because of it. If she calls any actions taken by her and Nagin a "success, I'd sure hate to see what failure is according to her standards.

Anyone who reads this (among the thousands of other examples put forth) and cannot believe the Democrat Party is the enemy of the United States, is either brain dead, or a Democrat sympathizer.
Either way, they need to be shunned.

And who was responsible for the levees? The byzantine levee boards of NO.
Lets see...NO below sea level and is sinking about 10 feet per century, NO is located in an area where hurricanes regulary strike. Lets blame nature, er, God... Lets rebuild. (No, lets not...)
No..its Bushes fault..er...its Jefferson's fault...no, its Napolean's fault for selling it to us in the first place!
