Biden: Domestic Spying Not Impeachable Offense

Senator Biden says the President's wire tapping program is neither legal, nor necessary, but he says it's not an impeachable offense. By Annie Nefosky Monday, December 19, 2005 Senator Biden says for the President to order the monitoring of U.S. citizen's phone calls with suspected terrorists is not legal or necessary, but he says it's not an impeachable offense.

But Biden says he wants to find out how extensive the monitoring is. "We want to find out, what has he done? All he said is generically he's done this." On the war in Iraq, Biden says he believes the President will begin pulling out 50- to 65,000 troops within the next eight months. He says a more significant withdrawal will likely take place in 2007. Biden was a guest Monday on WILM's News Talk AM with John Watson.

Biden was either informed about this all along or was a benefactor of clinton's spying that no one paid attention to...

Biden must have had his forehead hair implants tightened. He's starting to sound sane for the first time in a long time.

For years, literally, I have been wincing when people accuse the dems of being unpatriotic and anti-American, but in the last few months they have made it impossible to argue otherwise.

They are acting against the interests of this country exclusively to boost their political power. How is that anything but Un-American?

Bush needs to stay on the offensive and conduct some serious smack down against the seditious Democrats and Specter. This is national security and it cannot be turned into a political football.

Well, 1 out of 3 isn't bad...

He is right when he says it isn't impeachable offense, IMHO..

But, he is wrong when he says it isn't legal or necessary.

We do not have term limits so have to rely on the grim reaper to relieve us of this scourge.

Biden is just trying to open the barn door, so the other DemocRATs can push the horses out before Biden can close it again.

"There goes any chance for Biden to get the nomination."

Maybe he is being clever here... Look at these two sentences.

"Senator Biden says the President's wire tapping program is neither legal, nor necessary, but he says it's not an impeachable offense"

" "We want to find out, what has he done? All he said is generically he's done this.""

This could be an opening to appear reasonable but then claim his "not impeachable" comment was before they found out "what has he done."

If the Dims had their way, we would be making reparations to Al-Qaeda next year for abusing their civil rights.
