Greenwood, IN - An Indiana man is behind bars for intentionally leaving his girlfriend's children in a car in the frigid cold. On Sunday, police say Gary Willhoite left a six-year-old, a four-year-old, and a two-month old at a Greenwood gas station just south of Indianapolis.
Authorities say he was angry with his girlfriend, so he left her kids in a car for six hours.
By the time the children were found, police say ice had formed inside the car.
Lt. Bob Dine with the Greenwood Police Department says, "The baby was in the car seat, had a wet diaper, and his clothes were wet, and it was shivering. The other two, the four and six-year-old, were under a blanket trying to stay warm."
The children were treated and released at a local hospital.
They are reportedly now in good condition.

This is worse than being an imbecile. This is outright evil. And the mother is a pig and a loser for trusting this man with her kids. This is why single mothers with young children just simply should not date until the kids are older and able to defend themselves against beasts like this. I know I'll be roundly condemned on this thread for saying that, but no amount of anecdotal "My mom's boyfriend treated us like gems" stories will make up for the many stories of boyfriends who see the kids as competition for their time and thus abuse them or worse, see them as targets for their predatory sexual practices.
You are right. He was trying to kill the children. Unlike other such killers, he didn't have the guts to kill them more directly.

He probably IS the father of the infant, the other two, who knows?

This scum bag needs to be sentenced to being chained to a telephone pole outside the Greenwood, IN jailhouse, barefoot and naked from December 25 - February 28th and then go to prison for life.
I do have two questions about this incident:
#1. Why couldn't the six year old open the car door and get the other two out?
#2. Where were the gas station attendants and customers?
They should just shoot him.

You're right. It's an animal thing. Adult male animals frequently kill off the babies - especially the male ones - of competing males.
Well...it's a nasty cycle...boys follow the leads of girls....if good young guys see thug life as a way to attract a girl...they'll do it...but many eventually grow out of it or after a rough start they change.
How many guys would play the fool and be a thug if that meant no woman would have anything to do with them? Even the most dangerous psycho, nutjobs in prison can find a woman...there's women that write them love letters will write them letters...i'll never get it....BTW Scott Peterson had wedding proposals even after his conviction...cause they thought he was SO CUTE...cutenes can give you a liscense to abuse some women.
Not disagreeing with this suggestion, but every time I read one of these threads excoriating these foolish women for dating dirtbags, I ask myself why it is that so many single mothers seem unable to find anyone but dirtbags to date. One of the reasons has to be that too many nice guys are unwilling to date women with children. That also needs to be addressed, imho.
Trust me...that women is a thug magnet....if a stable decent guy looked twice at her, she would run for the hills...that's a FACT.

I have three male friends who have all married women with children and are better fathers to the children than their biological fathers. But those guys all married women who were married and divorced with children. I think women who start with the cycle of getting pregnant out of wedlock, never marrying the father (or knowing who the father is) have a much harder time. Besides, most nice guys want a family of their own and do not necessarily want to take on the financial and emotional support of someone else's kids.
Good observation, especially the part about stupidity. The questions I always have when I read of situations kind of like this are: what attracts women to these lowlifes? Can't they see the trouble surely awaiting them down the road if they get involved in a relationship with such a man?
