Answer 1 (smartass response): They don't like bad grammar and poor spelling.
Answer 2: They *have* visited Earth many times, as recently as, say, 25,000 years ago. They stopped for brunch and left a napkin.
Answer 3: It's a *big* universe, with stars far between, and Earth has probably not looked terribly interesting from dozens of light years away. At least, not till about a hundred years ago, when we started radio broadcasts.

Uhhh.... well, SETI has proved that there is as yet no hard evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence in the radio spectrum. But that's like proving that a Democrat is not President of the US. With time, more evidence will accumulate, and perhaps the answer will change.

Quite simple. There's already life here, perfectly capable of gobbling up the building blocks. No opportunity for entirely new life forms to emerge.

SETI proved that there is no proof?
Even setting aside the fact that absence of proof is not proof of absence, do you really think that the relatively tiny period during which we've been listening for signals, as opposed to the size of the universe, is "proof" of anything?
Patience, grasshopper. Science takes time. Time will tell - the experiment is far from over.
YEC INTREP - Gases may explain the building blocks, but it doesn't explain the information content of the DNA. You can cut down a tree, mash it into pulp, and make paper. But that doesn't explain the source of the words printed on the paper. The words are symbols, expressing ideas and concepts - and ideas have only one source - a mind. So it is no big deal that the building blocks have been found! Now find the mind that created the information.
That's the proper question. There are so many more requirements for life, that the title of the article is nothing more than sensationalism. Our own solar system is mostly devoid of life. Entire classes of galaxies almost certainly don't harbor life.
The proper question for the creationists is why God created such a huge Universe that except for our planet apparently serves no purpose.
