So fire them all and bust the union. Scabs have always been willing workers.
Can't Mayor Bloomberg do to them what Reagan did to the Air Traffic Controllers when they went on strike? Fire all those that haven't crossed the picket line!
Break the union, fire all the workers, and jail union leaders.
This is nothing short of economic blackmail on massive scale. Unions have been doing this for decades, ever since they were taken over by the communists and organized crime scum. Unions destroy EVERY industry they organize, and every business that depends on their workers.
Personally, the b@st@rds should be fired and the union leaders jailed.
Only a terrorist could take action that would cause such chaos. Cage the monkeys !!!!

Stupidities I've seen retailed on FR over the past few days:
(1) It is OK for them to break state law because state law just isn't fair.
(2) The MTA forced them into the strike because the MTA made unreasonable demands.
(3) The subway is outmoded and nobody has any real use for it, so why are people complaining?
I find it hard to sympathize with ANYBODY suffering up there. There are maybe 1.25 people in the entire city (maybe a dog or cat, too) who are not slavishly devoted to EVERYTHING union. You want unions, you like unions, well, pay the price.
IF THE GOVERNOR DOES NOT GET SOME STONES, AND FIRE EVERY LAST ONE OF 'EM, HE SHOULD BE HELD PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERY DOLLAR LOST, EVERY BUSINESS THAT SINKS, AND EVERY JOB LOST, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!
However, I find a small modicum of satisfaction in the lack of business for the Broadway shows.
When the Republican convention was coming to town they made a pronouncement that they didn't want republican business.
What is so stupid about all this is how the MTA Chairman stuck the pension crap in at the last minute. It would only save the city $20 mil per year, and it ongered the union into walking out of the room and strike. STUPID hubris on the part of the MTA.
I'm not sure if anyone outside NY (or even in) realizes what the MTA did with its $1 billion surplus this fall...they gave free 10-trip tickets to all monthly commuter train subscribers. And guess what those subscribers are doing with them...selling them on EBAY! Here's one of those many links below...
EBay Auction of Metro North 10-trip ticket
Most of these tickets go for between $20 and $35. If you bought one at a booth it would average over $100. A smart use of the MTA surplus? I don't think so. It's time for the MTA to withdraw its absurd last-minute 2% to 6% pension demand so us NY'ers can get back to business.
Reagan knew how to handle extortionists like these. But NY has nothing but crooks and ballless wonders. It is screwed once more by the union mafioso.
Since all these vehicles are sitting idle, along with the subways....who is gaurding the parked buses and trains or cruising the tunnels watchin for 'bad guys'?
All this occuring at Christmas shopping time. A lot of businesses depend on making 30-50% of their yearly sales during this time of year in order to stay in business. It sadly appears that many will not be in business for another Christmas. This is an economic 9-11 to them.
Fire their butts and pay double to the scabs for the first 6 months.
The unions destroyed the car industry, drove business overseas and now they're going after our best known city? What's Hillary got to say?
New York if packed with illegal aliens. Put them to work.
The left (including Bloomberg the Rino) appear addicted to union money but are ironically blind to the fact that illegals undercut union jobs. Without the unions there would be no illegals problem.
