I knew those dang Governor's Island park rangers were hiding SOMETHING!
Deep beneath the island is a secret facility right out of James Bond. Guys in matching jumpsuits and hard hats, evil minions, and enormous panels of machinery with lots of flashing lights. This is the headquarters for the NYC puppetmaster, Dr. Zizmor. The power he wields makes George Soros look like a guy selling knock-off perfume to tourists off a blanket at Herald Sq.
It might be wise of NYC to raise a competing union against other monopolies on city labor organizations so that this will never happen again.
We can't expect military intervention for civil service strife (i.e. the US Army delivery mail or US Marines guarding Postal Carriers).
Former President Ronald Reagan had a method of removing civil servants who strike and cause civil unrest.
His LASER ads are vaguely threatening. I just hope he doesn't go hostile.

The Roger Toussant and the rest of management sounded like a bunch on neo communists. I hope the pseudo leader Toussant goes to jail, serves his time and is then repatriated to his country of origin.

LOL! Deep in my heart I was hoping for that too. Bankrupt the union; fire and replace the workers; jail that guy with marbles in his mouth - ie, neo communist thug Toussant. If this thug isn't jailed at least I hope the executive board fires him. He's a disgrace.

The difference between here and France is that in France, the public would have supported this strike by the TWU. So maybe there is (small) hope for New York after all.
The transit workers are the same as terrorists. They have shut down transportation in NYC for days, causing hundreds of millions in economic loss. A bomb on a specific line or bus probably would have less negative impact to the economy.
we are not happy NYers right now. I would suggest they keep these trains on time!
They should have fired the lot of them and replaced the Union with regular workers non-union !
It's like a child stomping it's feet and screaming till it gets what it want's you either cave into it's demands or fire up that butt and and show them what they are doing is wrong.
I always chose the latter none of my kids went on strike.
3,000 miles away from that kind of coercion, with an SUV and a couple of motorcycles, is almost a comfortable distance.
Speaking as someone who loves the subways, they really are a marvel.
