Well I hope a judge throws the union leadership in jail anyway for their illegal strike. A thief agreeing to return the goods he stole when caught doesn't get set free... he still has to pay for his crime.
I hope they put the union leaders in jail for a few years, and I hope the businesses of NY file a class action lawsuit against the union seeking BILLIONS in damages from lost business. And I hope that if even a single person was harmed or died because of this mess this cost, that they also sue the union for BILLIONS!
I'm tired of these socialist scumbags ignoring the law.

I hope these workers don't get any Christmas tips from the public..They don't deserve it.

I'm tired of these socialist scumbags ignoring the law.Ignore them all they want IMO, however it's when they get away with doing so with sympathy that tires me.

I wish the toll-booth workers would go on strike. Then the option of the State Guard intervening would be used. ; )

Good, but I wish they had fired the lot. Management of TWU first.Me too! Also, I had a rather lukewarm wish that an angry mob of commuters would have beat the tar out of some of the picketers. I mean, c'mon, 32,000 against 7 million? Those sound like winning odds to me.
As far as I'm concerned, the libs can keep their public transportation.

So, let's tote up what the union has done for its workers so far...
- Two days pay gone
- Hefty fines that may have to be paid
- No contract
- The ill will of an entire city
Enjoy your dinner, Toussaint, you (edited for the sake of SlowBoat407's continued existence at FR) ...wad.

You mean the sleeping toll booth workers? They're not sleeping, they are on a forceful regimen to learn what it takes to be a retired worker in a liberal state. ; )

Looks like Christmas in the slammer wasn't too popular a seasonal choice for the union leadership. "It sucks to be me" takes on a whole new meaning when it's you who's going to be inconvenienced. LOL

It will be 4 or 6 days pay gone, depending on whether the strike is viewed as having lasted 2 or 3 days. The fines are being appealed and don't need to be paid yet. They could get negotiated away in any settlement (but they weren't waived during the 1980 strike, AFAIK).

Just in time for New Year's. Think Times Square. Now Dick Clark can do New Year's Rockin' Eve from Times Square instead of, say, Philly (if the TS celebration were cancled because of hard accessibility).

TWU voted to restore service because they were getting their butts handed to the media and exactly none of the public was on their side.
I say fire the lot of them and send the leaders to jail.
