Delahunt: A warm Venezuelan gift in a cold winter **BARF ALERT**
The Register ^ | Dec. 22, 2005 | Congressman Bill Delahunt

Posted on 12/22/2005 3:10:28 PM PST by Kitten Festival

Last month, as chilly November winds hinted at the winter to come, Massachusetts received a warm gift from Venezuela via CITGO Petroleum Corporation. It could not have come at a more critical moment as those on fuel assistance faced heating price increases of up to 50 percent. Many low-income families looked ahead to a winter of unbearable options: choosing between heat and food or medication.

As a result of the Venezuelan oil program, more than 12 million gallons of heavily discounted heating oil will flow to needy households and social service institutions across the state. Together with local nonprofits Citizens Energy and Mass Energy, CITGO will help ensure 50,000 low-income families and hundreds of homeless shelters, hospitals and daycare centers will have heat this winter.

You might think this kind of corporate generosity would invoke praise, not controversy. However, some have pilloried the program as serving political objectives of the Venezuelan government, the sole shareholder of CITGO, at a time of tense relations between our two presidents. The talking-point from these quarters is apparently that we were "bought off" by CITGO and the Venezuelan government.

Liar. He's trying to tell us no corporation helps the poor except Citgo. Go to any Web site of any oil company and you'll see tons of help. The only difference is: there is no need for this traitorous congressman to get the job done. He is a colossal liar and on the take from Hugo Chavez. The public service line for Hugo Chavez's gas is here:

For more information about the discounted Venezuelan oil program, low-income households should call Citizen's Energy at 877-563-4645. Social service agencies should call Mass Energy at 800-287-3950.

Go clog up the lines of these communist traitors and give them an earful of the truth.

So... If we sent 150,000 full-auto AK-47's to the poor in Venezuela, would it be a fair trade?

Citizens Energy

No disclosure that this is the non-profit the Kennedy's use to dump their capital into to make it tax-exempt? The Kennedy families draw lucrative salaries from this trust while throwing a crumb at the common folk and use it to their advantage when benefiting the districts their campaigning in. Massholes are nothing more than serfs extending out their arm hoping for a slice of bread as their Masters exultling ride through.

As far Hugo Chavez helping out the American poor: sure a few select Mass families might get a week or two's discount on heating bill's to the benefit of the good 'ol Kennedy family, but every American family, everywhere in the country will ultimatly spend more for all crude oil products thanks to Recklessnes of Huge Chavesz.

This article states it better than I

We should bear in mind whenever we drive by a CITGO station that it belongs to Hugo Chavez.
