The Talk Shows
Sunday, December 25th, 2005
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; musician Wynton Marsalis; and Sen. David Vitter, R-La.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Former "NBC Nightly News" anchor Tom Brokaw and former ABC "Nightline" anchor Ted Koppel.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): CBS News correspondents review 2005 and a look ahead at 2006.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Former Secretary of State Colin Powell and author Peggy Noonan.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : No broadcast.
Your Christmas presents: No Biden, McCain, Hagel, Lindsey Graham, Levin, Shumer, Lugar or former Clinton administration spinning shills!!!!
Don't bother with MTP. I have it on now and it's no more than a self-serving discussion amongst the dinasaur media.
Thanks an a merry Christmas to you Alas Babylon!
Just coudln't bleieve Timmy's rehash of katrina. All the stories they are talking about have been DISPROVED! This is just unbelievable. I had to turn it off.
Exactly. I thought Tim's comeback would be that "we got the facts wrong" after that first clip but NO; more discussion on how the Bush administration failed.
I very much dislike the uber-partisan Tim Russert. The hunched over, frowning, stern-voiced grilling of republicans versus the leaned backed, smiling, open armed softball-ladened questioning of democrats Mr. Russert.
Russert, if you or any of your minions are reading this, you're not fooling us!
So, bottom line.... I can easily believe it!!!!
This is a hoot...I wanted to watch ABC..to see/hear Peggy Noonan...but in NY..flagship ABC isn't showing Georgie's show today..they pulled it for a Disney movie..
Where's McVain?
His make-up man must have the day off.
This was his big chance to be on 4 talk shows in the same day.
BTW, I've noticed that MSNBC and MTP seem to spend more and more time interviewing other media people. Why not talk to the Newsmakers?
Oh well, to anyone who watches the shows today, thanks. You deserve a FR medal.
Thanks for the thread, AB. I have to wait an hour before I get FNS, so I am freeping and listening to Fox & Friends - casual today - no ties.
Merry Christmas Alas and thanks for this thread as always
I'm surprised Biden didn't volunteer to do all the shows today.
Oh Fox and Friends..... I was also just listening. They reported a poll that showed republicans overwhelmingly believe in God and democrats are much less likely to. Julian remarked, "Oh, I don't believe that poll. It's nonsense." I turned the TV off.
Julian doesn't like the results, so he chooses not to believe THIS poll. The same polling firm shows Bush at 37%, and according to Julian it's a very bad omen for the President.
WOW! I didn't realize we were going to have this thread today!! YAY!!
I finally get to hang out with ya'll on Sunday thread again..last month has been CRAZY!
BUT- Turkey is stuffed and in the oven, kids are playing with new toys, and MOM gets to hang out on FREEP! AWESOME CHRISTMAS!
PRAISE GOD!
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HANUKKAH TO ALL!!!
Merry Christmas, AB
Merry Christmas, AB & All!
I, too , wanted to watch Peggy and also found the show pulled on our local northern MN station for a Disney promo. Just as well...Christmas music on the radio is a fine substitute until the grandchildren arrive in an hour or two. Far preferable to Timmie, Tommie, & Ted.
Have you seen the prayer thread for snugs? She lost her mum today.
Oops, I'll bring my Merry Chistmas wish to you over to this thread :)
Uhg! How awful to happen on Christmas. God bless her and keep her.
Kelly Wright - singing Have Yourself a Merry Christmas with the three tenors - just great.
I just watched Peggy did they just pull it in certain areas because George is still a Jack^^^.
