Emergency services rescued a man and two girls from the Bryn Quarry Police are continuing to question a 35-year-old man arrested in north Wales on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder.
It follows an incident on Wednesday when a man and his daughters aged six and nine were rescued from the flooded Bryn Quarry, near Bethesda.
The three were airlifted to hospital at Bangor where they were said to be suffering from hypothermia.
The two rescued children have been released from hospital.
North Wales Police earlier said they were alerted after reports that a man was in the quarry with the two girls.
A helicopter from RAF Valley on Anglesey airlifted the three to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
The trio had managed to scramble out of the freezing water on to a ledge before emergency crews arrived.
A police spokeswoman said: "An RAF helicopter recovered all three and conveyed them to hospital.
"A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder."
A spokesman for North Wales Ambulance said the three people were suffering from hypothermia.
Leftist reporters aren't just dishonest. They are just plain stupid. They can't get a straight-news story right.
I think the reporter may have been on vacation and his dog wrote the story. It makes no sense, though I agree that it appears it was the father who was charged.
Was he trying to kill his kids or has he been charged with attempted murder for "endangerment" ... just having the kids at the quarry.
Was he a conservative Islamist attempting an honor killing?

My head hurts.
I get that it's a man and his daughters rescued. But is that the man arrested? I guess so. But it's not clear. Maybe I'm just being thick, but I guarantee you that if I wrote this article, I would clearly state who it was the police arrested. And I'm no great writer.
Maybe a quirk of British writing............
Maybe.
I like my dog.
My dog likes me.
I like to go outside with my dog.
He is a good dog.
We have fun.
Your right - it is because they are always trying to spin a story and when they can't it makes them dizzy (er) and this is what we get.
I like cheese....
Pickles make me puffy.....
There you go!
Good one. When the story won't spin, the reporter gets dizzy.
"When the story won't spin, the reporter gets dizzy"
Much better said
