JERUSALEM The head of Israeli army intelligence says projectiles recently fired by guerrillas from Lebanon into northern Israel were made in Russia and sold to Syria.
Israel has always accused Syria of backing Hezbollah and has asked Russia to make sure its weapons don't get into the hands of militants fighting Israel.
But in an interview with an Israeli newspaper, the intelligence chief says Russia is not complying. He says the weapons are "brazenly" being used against Israel which he says shows the "real faces of Russia and Syria."

Russia expresses it's solidarity with Syria and Iran's jihad to "wipe Israel from the map."

This is news? Russia could care less where the weapons they sell are used.

Can't fault that statement. Gotta keep those weapon factories open, and strive toward balancing regional power once again.

Israel has always accused Syria of backing Hezbollah and has asked Russia to make sure its weapons don't get into the hands of militants fighting Israel. This being reported by AP, is just another baby step forward in the fight against Islamic terrorism.
Forward motion in the smallest way is better than backwards movement.

Maybe it's time for the Mossad to slip some poison into Bashar Assad's morning coffee, as it were.

No it doesn't. Russia just wants hard currency, and it's not fussy who it sells to.

Every time a missile purchased by Syria is fired into Israel, an Israeli missile should be launched into Syria. It's always proper to return a favor. I wonder, though, would it be impolite to send a 25,000 lb fuel air explosive as a return gift in exchange for a missile? I believe gifts should be of comparable value, and an FAE would probably cost more. I'll have to ask Miss Manners about this.

Maybe one of those Israeli nukes should wind up in Chechnya. Wonder how the Russians would feel about that.

" Every time a missile purchased by Syria is fired into Israel, an Israeli missile should be launched into Syria. " ...and if one should veer off and happen to hit the Soviet, er, Russian embassy, maybe it might help Mr. Putin to understand his responsibilities.

I always wonder if Israelis with Russian citizenship has ever contributed to the Russian military industry. That would be a sad irony feeding the terrorists with there own skills which they thought may have protected their second homeland.

"and sold to Syria.".....and found in Lebanon, it is the tip of the iceberg.

So many things obviously get out in the open as time goes by. One thing is for sure, Russia has always feared the democratic state of Israel. It as you well know has been a thorn in its's side all those years it wanted to rule in the ME. I must get ready to go to a funeral so will not be on the boards today.
Have a good one.

I have posted before that we should tell the Russians we will be building a uranium reactor for Chechnya, like they are doing for Iran. We'll handle the 'spent fuel' rod like Russia does. Do you all know what the big scam is so Iran gets their nuclear material for the A-bomb? A year or so ago, Iran was supposed to ship a few dozen spent rods to Russia. Well, Russia refused to ACCEPT the rods from Iran because Iran refused to pay Russia for the contracted service. Nice obscure plan to arm the nut-case regime of Iran with nukes eh? Yeah, Putin is a real pal to the USA and one we can trust, blah blah blah. Same old game just different names.
