Why thank you...but, FR has pretty much "cured" the lonelies for me!
And I LOVE the recipes talk.
I will never forget, one of the first threads I saw when I joined FR, was a thread about BAR-B-QUE...it was a HOOT!
Everyone was giving their opinions about what bbq is---tomato based...or mustard based...east vs. west...which restaurants were best..
Dang...it was like a football game...both side arguing (good spiritedly, of course) back and forth.
I thought I was in heaven, finding a website that was so much fun!! I WAS RIGHT..

I use 3 types of rib rub, let them penetrate for an hour, smoke 'em for 4 hours at 190 degrees with a lot of hickory wood smoke....
I smoked 12 rack of ribs that way for my Daughter's 18th birthday party and had a big bonfire in my backyard cobblestone paver firepit. Everyone said they were the best they ever had.
Took me a long time to make that recipe...

... it just doesn't come together in an hour like on "This Old House".... :) I have read that some of the couples being This Old Housed ended up getting divorced. Houses, whether new ... or old ... can be sources of great consternation and stress.

Your hickory ribs reads delicious...
I like ribs.. Last time I roasted them I used (SAMS) Yosihida Hawaiian sauce instead of any kind of barbQ. I thought they were excellent too especially slow roasted.

Too bad you are not nearby Bahbah. I have fresh cranberries in the freezer and not planning to use them for tomorrow's gathering. Hubby is smoking a pork roast and grilling chicken wings. He is quite a chef.
Have a happy new year!

Ok, here's a FRiendly tip for fall off the bone baby back ribs......
For the last half hour or so of smoking them, wrap the ribs in aluminum foil.
It holds the moisture in and the meat falls right off!
