Republican: Trump May Run for N.Y. Gov.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Donald Trump is considering running for governor, a leading Republican said Friday. Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno on Thursday suggested that a big-name candidate could be flirting with entering the 2006 contest. On Friday, he confirmed to News Channel 10 in Albany that he had been referring to Trump.

Bruno told the station he had spoken to the real estate developer and TV personality about a possible run.

Trump's office in New York had no immediate comment. State GOP Executive Director Ryan Moses said neither he nor state party Chairman Stephen Minarik have had discussions with Trump about running.

Said Frank MacKay, state chairman of the Independence Party: "(Trump) is a formidable candidate for anything he decides to run for. We would love to see him run for president of the United States in 2008 as a third-party candidate. I'd do what I could to help give him a strong base here in New York and everywhere else in the country."

Trump flirted with a run for president on the Reform Party ticket in 2000. He has given money to Republicans and Democrats in state races.

I don't like him much but I wish he would run against Hillary.

So what do you think about his chances of winning new york. In what is his chance of winning the president. Or being the Gop Choice?

In New York, his past ties to certain organized Italian and Japanese "families" won't be a factor (see Cuomo family for example). No chance of becoming President because of it.

Just when you thought it couldn't get worse.

What the heck ... he is a bankrupt expert, isn't he? Or is that B/S expert?

I forget.

Happy New Year

He's got a new baby on the way, a tv show, runs a real estate "empire" and does commercials. How much time could this combover give to the state of NY? About zip! You're FIRED!

Yawn. Just don't move to Florida permanently, combover boy.

Donald Trump is about as much a Republican as is Hitlary or John McCrazy.

How could he be worse than the milquetoast Pataki and his abortion-loving vampire of a wife? And Spitzer MUST be stopped.

He wears his hair that way to cover the 666 on his forehead. A man devoid of soul should never be President. Just look at Clinton and his she-male wife.

The Donald's FEC records make interesting reading. He gives a lot more money to Dems, including recent donations to the DSCC and Hilliary. Three guesses who Hillie wants to see run on the Republican ticket.

If Trump's donor records are anything to go by, there's not much difference.

Probably the best shot the GOP has of keeping the governor's chair. Trump has done some remarkable things in his time, NYS could do a LOT worse (e.g., any Democrat and most NY Republicans).

I guess the CEO of a company that has used the bankruptcy code more times than Liz Taylor has been married would make the perfect politician.

Then again, despite the portrayed money troubles of his company, they sure seem to be growing and expanding....

"And Spitzer MUST be stopped."

Good point! I don't think a true conservative can even run in NY state, for any office. All the GOPers are libnuts at heart. Pataki is no exception. They are all RINOs, basically.

It's not moribund, yet. Take a look at Massachusetts. Now that's D-E-A-D. (Thanks William Weld and RINO liberals).

"He wears his hair that way to cover the 666 on his forehead. "

LMAO! I wonder how much time it takes to mold that combover. I'm thinking that all the glopped goo to keep it in place must be one horrific mess for his "groomer". I heard his wife does it. I dunno. The dude needs a serious makeover.

I noticed Elton John has had a hair transplant and it actually looks decent. Trump should consider it, what wtih all his millions.
