Actually, the New Testament requires Christians to point out false teachers and false teaching with rigor. We are not "even to share a meal with such". Stating Mormon facts is not bias, it's something that the Lord and Paul and Peter etc., require of me.

But perhaps I need to forgive all the Mormons I have known for their passionate ignorance and desire to deceive as they tried to proselytize me.

It was a deep wound that helped me in the long run to be scrupulous where Christian doctrine is concerned.

Most Mormons don't know the range of absurdities endulged by Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, and--speaking from experience--they really don't enjoy their early history or doctrine being explored. The strange thing is that they live out new testament principles better, in most cases, than their evangelical counterparts.

If Christian congregations produce these types of people that would post such comments on a thread after an article describing the murder of a young man...well...I don't want to have any part of that congregation. Some of the posts on this thread seem full of hate and downright unChristlike.
