Interesting to see this old thread (2006) from long before anyone got drunk on Trump’s koolaid. A couple people may have seen that coming, maybe one of the fellows I’m pinging. I didn’t, I hardly payed attention to his testing of the waters in 2012, I laughed and moved on as you did in 2006, part of me can still hardly believe it, he’s so obvious a phony.
Not to say that Ted Cruz is the second coming of Christ as Trumpers think Trump is, but he’s so clearly more conservative, more qualified, and more electable (according to all polling) than Trump, it’s such a ridiculously easy choice it boggles the mind that some slick propaganda and base appeals to emotion can cause people to think the exact opposite.
I longed to see more than an outnumbered handful of people speaking the truth about Trump and get attacked for it, had to travel back in time. 2006, when Trump was mocked as he deserved to be and conservative Senators weren’t savagely attacked with vicious lies for having the damnable gall to dare to run against him. “Anchor baby”. “Stole Iowa”. And now this tabloid garbage. Ugh.
