Rush is making a logical mistake....

He is RIGHT when he criticizes the MSM for disparaging the miners..."Why do they do that job? Can't they do anything else?"

He is WRONG when he is critical of live reports when things are streaming all around you.

Here's an example that might be closer to home (an actual story I have covered}:

You are live in front of a burning house...a portion of the roof collapses...you ask anyone in the vicinity if they know if there were any firefighters in that section of the building.

You hope you have presence of mind to say..."Of course, that is not an official report" but you're just getting as much information as you can.

Or that it's believed that there are/aren't firefighters in that section of the building.

I see your point, but as they spend more the values of the bonds go down.

I agree with you. As much as I can't stand the MSM, i think they had a camera right outside the church when the families were given the wrong info.

My complaint would be that they should not be that intrusive.

Once it went out live, it was too late. I can't really blame them for that. This was a horrible mistake all the way around.

You and I are on the same wavelength today. I hate that they do that, and I hate that they keep sticking their mics and their cameras in front of weeping relatives.

I think what he is saying is that we can't good people in Congress because of the pay, and they have made laws for themselves to get re-elected easier. Hence, the making of a career politician.

I understand they were very busy people. Some of the most innocuous stuff was censored out!

It was necessary though.

Thanks for the link. It took me awhile to read it.

I still think that the MSM can't stop the tide -- as it becomes known in the new media that there's a big story against Dems, they won't be able to withstand the pressure for a good story.

Have to agree that Rush is reaching with this story. What I find so interesting is how everyone acts like this is so new and outrageous. Hey this has been going on for decades. Anyone remember them announcing James Brady had died after the Reagan Assassination attempt? Plane on the tarmacs in Cleveland with arm terrorists on board during 9-11? All the absolutely scandalously false reporting about Iraq and Afghanistan?
