Re: the "Nancy Problem." People like Pelosi surface in a party that is in decline and rise to the top. Honorable people no longer want to be associated with the Democrat party's socialist agenda.
Look who the other leaders of the party are. Howard "Dr. Demento" Dean a certified nut; Harry Reid a Senator who has sued his position to enrich himself and family; Hillary Clinton a mousy little '60s Marxist.
The Democrat party as we know it is on the way out.

"Her colleagues grumble that under her leadership, the party lacks focus and a clear agenda.."Do they, really?
I see them as being 100% focused on a very clear agenda: Anything but Bush!
And by golly, it will work, I tell you! Bush is not going to be re-elected!

I donno...I don't think H. Ford would be stupid
enough to endanger National Security and the lives
of americans, in an attempt to acheive partisan gain.

Are her voters really that retarded?Bush ran third in her district, behind Gore and Nader, in 2000.
So, yes, they really are.

Thanks for the ping, save! As much as it grates on me as a Californian to have to listen to this idiot bloviate, I have to agree that I really do like having she and Harry Reid as the Dem party leaders! How any self respecting Democrat can support them and their positions is beyond me!!

clowns like Pelosi, Dean & Murtha(Larry, Moe & Curley) are the best things to happen to the GOP since Bubba...
not only are they dumb as dirt; they're also politically numb to the majority of the electorate!

Nothing other that what i've seen in the paper and on TV.
I *did* swim in the Fords indoor pool a few
times...but that was a totally different family
of Fords.. and a couple of decades ago... Back in my
Silver Springs days. :o)

Thirty of the outsized California delegation's 31 Democrats voted for Pelosi, some reluctantly. Minus them, Hoyer had a clear edge over Pelosi of 95 to 88. Finally, California Democrats doing something good for the nation. Having Pelosi in place provides a clear example of Democrataic party politics and priorities.

NOTE: this is from a year ago. I'd lost track of it, and finally found it, plus three later essentially duplicate topics (see the "COUP" keyword).
