MECCA, Saudi Arabia Jan 5, 2006 — A hotel on the outskirts of Islam's holiest city collapsed Thursday, security officials said, and pan-Arab television reported that there were dozens of casualties.
The tragedy occurred as millions of Muslim faithful are flooding into Mecca for the annual haj pilgrimage that peaks on Monday with the Eid al-Adha, a four-day feast.

I have to agree.
It is a tenet of Islam that if one perishes while making one's HAJJ, one gets a direct pass to Paradise. Don't know if any virgins are involved or not.

You have no idea who the people inside the hotel are.
If there's no virgins to ravage then they want no part of it.
Perhaps the building collapsed because those inside were over zealous in their celebration of the collapse of Sharon?
I dunno. A few hundred people die every year during this thing. It's no longer a tragedy. It's part of the event.

Or if there were suicide bombers involved who had an "ooops" moment. Tragic, but I don't fault people for not being sympathetic. Polling from Islamic states indicates a majority would like to us killed. We went into Somolia to feed Muslims and keep them from starving, and now its one of the reasons they want to blow us up...
Part of me wants to express sympathy for the loss of life - but the majority of me agrees with the majority of posters here.
I recall one of the scum Muslim leaders making a comment something along the lines after Katrina or some other bad storm that it was "punishment to the US for all of the evil things they do" - not a direct quote, but it was something like that.
Anyway, that's a long way to get to my point - back at ya, Muslims.

Man, Allah must really hate Muslims... earthquakes in Pakistan, landslides in Indonesia, now this...
