Either Roy Moore or State Sen. Harri Anne Smith, anyone but Riley should get the GOP nod, period.

Harri Anne Smith is nothing more than the foil candidate that I have long predicted, pro-business but anti-plan for progress. Her entry into the race guarantees a runoff, and just makes the runoff at the end of June that much more of a high-stakes contest.

I think Riley has done a good job. He has brought in more jobs than any other governor. I don't recall any scandals. He seems to try and run the state like a business but that is all but impossible with the Dems in the Al Legislature.
