Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he also illegally driving with a suspended license as well?
Exactly who on the Cowboys is a thug?
How do you know that he is not intelligent?
In any event, Brett Favre had a bad problem with alcohol in his youth as well. In fact, he says that if he had not gotten out of a big city like Atlanta and gone to a smaller, quieter community like Green Bay that he would have never righted himself.
Boy, I should would want to hire this bozo for sure.
"To all of the Virginia Tech community, I sincerely apologize."
i.e.: Kiss My Black @$$
That is not the case in Dallas at all. Parcells is very much in demand and can coach anywhere he wants. He coaches the Cowboys for as long as HE wants to.
It's not like Parcells is cowering to any owner saying "you're the boss - please don't fire me".
Well add some more charges to the Vick Arsenal. He has been arrested and charged with 3 counts of Brandishing a Firearm.
He was busted in Hampton, not Bburg
So the kid Christian Laetner'd him, big whoop. Players take cheap shots at each other in EVERY football game. I'm NOT condoning, but it isn't that big of a deal other than the guy's track record not being spotless.
He's a football player, what's everyone expect?
Ha. Yeah, the NFL shuns agressive, fast, atheletic, angry men. Good one.
Thanks for the info. I just looked up the article and you are correct.
He is a talent, but I really have to wonder what is going on in his head right now. A lot of the other stuff I could chalk up to college boys having fun and being reckless.
After being dismissed from the team, however, he needed to be on his best behavior. What is he doing getting into an altercation at a McDonalds parking lot anyway? Even if he was in the right, in this current situation, he needs to stay completely clean of all controversy.
Notice that at least Terrell Owens doesn't get into trouble with the law. He may shot off his mouth too much, but he does have to sense to stay clean.
He's just misunderstood

Haaaa! Good one cheyennepress!
I totally agree. I think that what actually got him dismissed was his driving violation prior to the bowl game. Stomping the player wasn't that big of a deal, but having a criminal element can scare off the mothers of recruits.
Guys like Vick have to realize that guys with a clean track record have some leeway but those that have a spotty record are under a microscope.
He was involved in an "altercation" with some 17 year-olds. They probably called him out and Marcus isn't sharp enough to walk away. He's actually very soft-spoken. But he went from the projects to a mansion with no transition time. He'll keep screwing up until he gets jail time.
Your point about going from the projects to a mansion with no transition time is a very good point. I don't think that many people could handle that kind of situation very well.
Care to elaborate? And please give your definition of a "dirty player."
The next Ryan Leaf will be Matt Lienart. Bet on it.
Probably, any player that plays for a team that a person doesn't like.
I don't know.
Leinart already seems more mature than Leaf is even today....
we will see, of course....
