There's more to his story:

You don't think the speeding ticket caused his problems, do you?

"He'll fit right in with the felons frequenting the NFL these days."

A "CALawyer" should be the last person to critique the ethics of NFL players.

And when these punks are too beat-up physically to play football anymore, that's the Darryl Strawberry lifestyle they go right into. Their names pop up every so often when they get busted for DUI, drugs, frequenting whores, or whatever else they're into.

Just another punk like OSU's Mauriece Clarett (sp?)

There is not a sane NFL headcoach that will take this guy and all his baggage. But then again .... there are only about a dozen SANE head coaches in the NFL.

Does anyone think a pro team would want him with his temper? I doubt it.

When was the last Cowboys arrested? How about the half way house known as the Ravens?

Where does this NWA punk get the idea that it is his right to play in the NFL rathern than a privilege?

hey Troll, you can leave his race out of it.

Look for him to be a 2nd day pick, probably by a team that has a veteran QB but the end is near

I thought third round at best. Who wants a head case? But an ESPN fan poll shows that people expect him to go in the second round.

Nor should a "Warlord."

This article left out a lot of the stuff he'd done before this and overemphasized a minor traffic violation.

he hasn't killed anyone (Ray Lewis)

He hasn't been caught with a Whizzinator...

He hasn't been on a sex cruise....

A guy with this talent won't be overlooked.

But the moment he screws up big time in the NFL, look for him to get dropped, but I can name quite a few NFL teams that would probably take a serious look at him.

If he's available in the 4th round, I think Davis would. I don't think he would go higher than that. However, SOMEONE may roll the dice and take him in the 3rd, based on how Michael Vick has changed the team around.

I'm thinking an indoor team to take advantage of his speed, but one that could take advantage of his arm strength if needed. A team with no clear direction at quarterback, that will be facing a re-building year and could benefit from an explosive presence in the backfield, or could otherwise throw a youngster to the wolves with modest expectations. A team that would look in the bargain bin for a high upside quarterback with little downside risk. Maybe you trade down your high second round pick and pick up a lower second and a lower third/high fourth and use the extra pick to pick Vick. A team like......shall we say......Detroit?

I don't know.

If he has an impressive combine, then maybe.

that's possible too I guess.....

I don't know. I wonder how an obvious headcase would do on a team that is filled with headcases going all the way to the owner.

Look what happened with Clarett. The Broncos wasted a third round pick on a guy that robs people in alleys. He never made the team. I think NFL GM's will look real closely this time.

Uffda! I hope the Vikings don't grab him. We've got enough hoodlums playing for us.

Some words of advice - unlike liberals, conservatives don't generalize and instead offer substantive and cogent arguments when attempting to make a point. There are good and bad members in any profession, including whatever occupation you do for a living (a warlord?).
