I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the former top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney who was indicted in the CIA leak case, has a new job, focusing on Asia and anti-terrorism at a conservative think tank.

Libby, who has pleaded not guilty to obstruction of justice, perjury and making false statements, will serve as senior adviser to the Hudson Institute.

"Scooter Libby brings decades of experience to Hudson Institute that will strengthen our robust research efforts," the think tank's chairman, Walter Stern, said in a statement.

Libby, who stepped down as Cheney's chief of staff after he was indicted, is a veteran of Washington policy circles, after working at the State Department, on Capitol Hill and in the Department of Defense, as well as the White House.

Wonder if this'll make the Sunday Talk Shows ... oh, dumb me. I forgot that's yesterday's news 'cause their Rat nest-mates are now into Delay, how Bush let the miners die, NSA spying, and impeachment dreams.

I see that RINO Graham is on again. Is that all they can get?

Good for the Scooter. I had a feeling something along this line would come to be.

Expect attacks on the Hudson Institute to commence tomorrow morning. No doubt Conyers will demand an investigation.

No, but only "Republicans" that seek to screw conservatives and the administration need apply to represent on the Sunday Shows.

Lindsey's probably on for two reasons.

1) He wants to curry favor for the Alito fight because people back him in his state still haven't forgiven the Fourteen sell out. He'll try to primp himself as a Reagan Republican again which is a joke.

2) He'll be on to represent McCain, whine about NSA taps, and chastise Bush for doing an end run around their Al Quida Bill of Rights by tagging on a missive to the bill that states essentially he'll uphold the law only so far as it doesn't violate the constitutional rights of the Executive. Which I am very proud of the President for doing.

Throw in talk of Delay and Lindsey will have a field day.

BTW, to stay on topic, WTG Libby!

It's so predictable - the moonbats will just say that this is a right-wing extremist payoff for Libby's having done dirty deeds for Vice President Cheney...

Yeah, probably, and I want to thank the Hudson Institute for not caring about the Libs/MSM and hiring Libby.

What show is Goober Graham on??

I heard Specter and Leahy are supposed to be on Fox News sunday...

I bet it will be all Abramoff and Alito...all the time, with a little NSA for dessert...

Wouldn't it be nice to see someone show the LYING BASTARD Murtha...spewing lies about Gen. Pace, and Gen. Casey???

and telling the young people NOT to enlist..so that our enemies will have an even easier time attacking us.

'conservative think tank' -- I'm trying to think of the last time AFP called a liberal think tank 'a liberal think tank.' I can't recall their use of the language...

I agree. Hudson is showing courage under fire, while so many of the Republicans run for cover.

You just know that the press and the democrats have been calling all over town trying to keep him from getting hired anywhere. Good for the Hudson Institute!

"He signalled through his combative legal team {{{{LOLOL!!!}}} at his first appearance in court in November that he would fight hard to clear his name, and he is next due in court on February 3.

Libby is the only official so far indicted in the probe by special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald into claims that senior administration officials outed CIA operative Valerie Plame in revenge for criticisms of the White House push for war with Iraq by her husband, former diplomat Joseph Wilson."

Isn't the media just adorable??

Damn straight we haven't forgotten. Traitorous sleaze bag!

I will work very hard for whoever runs against him in the primary in 2008. A shame we have to put up with him until then!

If the press wants to see combative, they can come visit me. I have about 20 years worth of ranting stored up.

Well, I need to get to bed. I will check out the talking heads tomorrow to see how apopleptic they are...especially Chris Matthews. HA!

Lindsey has been running as McCain's VP for a few years now and it's getting pretty old, upchuck. And I'll be right with you in '08 if another viable candidate should run against him.

I expect Fitzgerald to drop the charges against Libby before this fiasco goes any further. Fitzgerald doesn't have a case and he knows it. He was just doing what the DNC and the MSM wanted him to do. Accusing someone of a crime and hoping they commit "perjury" so you'll have a case is a pretty crappy way of doing business if you ask me.
