As long as there are motorcycles, the ERs and neurosurgeons will stay in business.

Heh Drudge doesn't have the sirens out on his page.

Some anti-Hummer lib probably rear ended him.

EXCERPT FROM SACRAMENTO BEE:

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was injured in a minor traffic accident Sunday as he rode his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his son Patrick in a sidecar, the governor's office said.

Press Secretary Margita Thompson, in a statement released at 7 p.m., said the governor received 15 stitches to repair a cut lip after the accident, which occurred near his home in Los Angeles.

She said the accident occurred at around 3:15 p.m., when another driver backed into a street in front of the governor and he was unable to avoid the vehicle. She said the collission occurred at a low speed.

Schwarzenegger's son Patrick, 12, was a passenger in the motorcycle's sidecar. Thompson said both were wearing helmets and were released from St. John's Hospital after treatment for minor cuts and bruises. She said the other driver was not injured.

I know what Ahnuld's up to on this one. It was a staged "mishap". He's going for the sympathy vote from the anti-car/anti-oil environmentalists. Headlines in California will read like:

"SUV injures Governor" (if it was an SUV)
"Automobiles assaults Gov. Arnold"

Smart. He's taking a page from the Victim section of the Democrap playbook.

It was bound to happen. He ripped himself in half trying to be a republican and a lib.

Well, even a Hummer is not a tank, and, say, an 18-wheeler would have the right of way.

Good question. I suppose we'll get an answer as this story gets told and told and retold. Glad neither were hurt.

Yesh.. I feel sorry for the person backing up. I mean, yeah, a bonehead move to back up without looking (it is very hard to miss a hog with a big guy on it plus a sidecar if you did look) but still... You hit the governor. Highway patrol will be all over the person's rump. Liberal neighbors will congratulate the driver on great aim, and even worse, odds are if the driver is a voter that they voted for him.
