Victoria Jackson doesn't want to meet at her house. "The Nation of Islam wants to kill me," she explains apologetically in her inimitable shrill voice. Instead, she picks up a reporter at a Miami-area strip mall. Her weathered Honda Civic is adorned with "Nobama," Marco Rubio, and Tea Party bumper stickers, and inside, it smells like it's been fumigated with sweet incense. She hurtles through intersections and down side streets, holding a Flip cam to her face with her left hand. Steering with elbows and the occasional pinkie, she opens a Bible inscribed with her name and quotes Scripture. Then...

SANTA MARINELLA, Italy, January 23, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – What kind of man sneaks away under cover of darkness from his own sinking ship, leaving nearly 4200 passengers and crew to fend for themselves? What kind of men knock aside old ladies, little girls and young mothers to get to lifeboats first? Why, modern men, sexually emancipated men who have been raised on the tenets of feminism and our “contemporary” mores. What can an expression like “women and children first” mean to modern men who have been taught all their lives that women are nothing more precious than sexual playthings, and...

Tim Thomas, Boston Bruins goalie, snubs President Obama By DONOVAN SLACK | 1/23/12 3:14 PM EST There was a notable absence during a White House reception this afternoon for the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins: star goalie Tim Thomas. Thomas refused the invite for "political reasons," Sports Illustrated reports. The goaltender was the only member of the Bruins who wasn't at the ceremony, where President Obama congratulated the team on its victory. Thomas is a staunch conservative and is expected to explain his snub of the president on his Facebook page this evening.

Newsweek accomplished at least one thing by running a cover story calling the country’s critics of President Obama “dumb” — they awoke the mama grizzly. [SNIP] Directing her message to “@Newsweek,” Palin wrote, “Know what’s truly ‘dumb’? Giving a cover story to the TrigTruther conspiracy kook writer who thinks I didn’t give birth to my son.”

This guy keeps scratching bottom (literally) lower and lower. Once again, monitoring this lowest and most disgusting of progressive "comics" leads to some shock, as you have to employ Urban Dictionary and rigged google searches to even know what the heck he's talking about. But of course, his audience is fresh from some stomache-turning romps of their own, and actually "get" his "jokes." I keep an eye on this guy, and advise that we all do. He can motivate the stoner Trustafarians, the hookers, the drug-addled to vote. I don't watch him, I just do regular searches on him. You...

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Mike McQueary, one of the central figures in the burgeoning child sex abuse scandal at Penn State, will remain receivers coach Saturday when the Nittany Lions play their final home game of the season.

Defensive coordinator Tom Bradley, who was appointed Penn State interim coach in the wake of a shakeup that has claimed the jobs of Joe Paterno and other university leaders, said Thursday it will be a "game-time decision" whether McQueary will coach from the sideline or the press box against No. 19 Nebraska.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger pursued a triangulation strategy after an embarrassing defeat on his referenda in his first term, and like Bill Clinton, succeeded in winning a second term. And like Bill Clinton, Schwarzenegger decided to issue controversial executive-clemency actions in the eleventh hour of that term, with one in particular almost certain to further tarnish his legacy. Schwarzenegger commuted the sentence of Esteban Nunez for his role in the murder of a college student, reducing a 16-year prison term to just seven years, apparently without consulting the family of the victim.

Take a good look at this video. It is only 30 seconds long, but it encapsulates how right Karl Rove is about Palin's TV career -- and why she will never be president of the United States. The video comes from the TLC cable channel and it is intended to promote this week's episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska," the reality TV show starring Palin bludgeoning fish to death and shooting caribou. Of course, I found both ugly and digusting... Palin sold herself too cheap when she got into bed with TLC, Kate Gosselin and TV shows that celebrate polygamy and...

West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin has hit out at Sarah Palin after she was seen shooting a caribou on the latest episode of her TV reality show. The screenwriter, who also recently penned the Facebook film The Social Network, accused the contender for the 2012 Republican Presidential nomination of killing an animal 'for political gain'. And in a statement on the Huffington Post website, he accused her of making a 'snuff film' and branded her a 'phony Pioneer girl' and a 'witless bully'.

For the last week or so, the Daily Show with Jon Stewart has presented relentless coverage of the Ground Zero Mosque issue. All of the coverage was in favor of the Mosque. Comedy Central are even pleadingly presenting the Muslim generated straw-man arguments. CC insists that it is not a mosque, it is a 'cultural center' (yeah right) and Muslims are good honest people and only Al Quiada is bad. We know that the Left uses, so called, 'comedy', to say what they really believe and to attack people personally in the most vulgar way possible. The Daily Show is...

This is old, it’s tiring, and it’s really starting to tick me off. Chris Matthews with Andrea Mitchell yesterday afternoon is promoting his upcoming special on “The New Right” and the Tea Party. Mitchell gives him the chance to promote the show … and Matthews feeds right into the lefty paranoia machine. “They’ve got guns. It’s scary.” I love the sound bites with the militia. I love the conflation. I love the way everyone in the Tea Party is framed as a group that wants to wrestle the government from the “enemy”, like the British? You have to watch to...

According to Gallup, "White single women, unmarried, widowed, divorced, and separated" voted "overwhelmingly" for Obama. On this Memorial Day, this crucial slice of Obama's base of support without whom he would have been elected owe this nation an apology. Blacks; Hispanics; and Moslems voted tribal politics. But this group was more than liberal, it included a large segment of conservatives and independents who had soured on Bush. Today with $13 trillion in debt- almost $12 trillion of it accumulated in the last six months alone, a burgeoning government; a foreign policy in tatters from Iran, to N. Korea to the...

Arnold Schwarzenegger came into the governorship six years ago on a promise to end "crazy deficit spending" and bring order to the state's tangled finances. But as he begins his last year in office, the harsh reality is that so far he's utterly failed to cure California's fiscal ills. The qualities that had fueled Schwarzenegger's highly successful careers as a bodybuilding competitor and movie star – primarily his boundless self-confidence – did not translate well in the confines of the Capitol. His first months as governor were marked by contradictory words and actions that undermined what should have been a...

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger took the stage in Copenhagen today to deliver his speech on combating climate change, but he also created buzz with a series of shots at 2008 GOP VP nominee Sarah Palin's global warming skepticism. "You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish?" he told the Financial Times. "Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the [Republican] nomination [for president]? You have to take all these things with a grain of salt."

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has landed himself on yet another national magazine cover. Except this one isn't so flattering: "Girly-Man Ruins State," is how the National Review headlines the piece. The full story is not available online, but Chris Reed, editorial writer for the San Diego Union-Tribune, excerpts parts of the piece. Key line: "Conservatives were cheap dates and missed the subtle signals that Arnold lacked the fierce spirit of liberty that characterized (President Ronald) Reagan's approach to governance."

Schwarzenegger: Republicans who backed tax hikes are 'great heroes' By Rob Hotakainen Feb. 23, 2009 WASHINGTON --- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Monday came to the aid of six Republican lawmakers who ran afoul of the state GOP Party for backing a budget with tax increases, calling them "great heroes" who put people before politics. "I think that they've done a terrific job and they should pay very little attention to what the party says," the governor told reporters in Washington. "Because remember what I said, what is good for the party is not good for the people and what is...

The Governator: What a sad artifact of a bygone era that moniker is. Arnold Schwarzenegger circa the 2003 “total recall” election was going to sweep all before him as California governor, bringing the same élan and toughness he had on the big screen to fighting special interests and restoring his beloved state to competitiveness. That was before Governor Arnold got a severe beat-down in a November 2005 special election from the unions and Democrats (a.k.a. “girly men”) he had taunted during his ascendancy. Schwarzenegger pushed four far-reaching reformist ballot initiatives that all went down under a blizzard of spending and...

Schwarzenegger defends tax rise, says GOP should work with Obama By Rob Hotakainen Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009. WASHINGTON - Likening California's budget troubles to an earthquake, Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Sunday defended his decision to raise taxes and said his party's leaders in Washington should be "team players" with President Barack Obama. And if that means violating the GOP's principles, he said, so be it. "They should make an effort to work together and to find what is best for the people, because by derailing everything, it's not going to help anybody, and it creates instability and insecurity," Schwarzenegger...

The man who says he left Austria because he couldn’t stand socialism has no problem with it here. The man who preached self-reliance doesn’t worry about responsible homeowners being forced to bail out others. The man who rode to the California governor’s mansion by bashing Gray Davis over the car tax and promising to repeal it . . . just pushed through a budget nearly doubling the tax. Schwarzenegger’s weakness and hypocrisy was evident today on This Week. George Stephanopoulos opened the interview by playing a clip of a photo-op Schwarzenegger staged when first running for governor, having a huge...

Reporting from Sacramento — After five years as governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger came full circle on Friday: The film star who promised to rescue California from its fiscal wreckage without raising taxes signed into law $12.5 billion in tax hikes. With that, the Republican governor broke one of the few bonds left between his shrunken party and California's mainstream voters, marring its hard-won image as a guardian against higher taxes. "Their last gasp has been taken from them," said Larry N. Gerston, a political scientist at San Jose State, citing the unpopularity among most California voters of the party's conservative stands...

Arnold: GOP out of touch California Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger suggested that his party is out of touch with average Americans on the issue of health care. “You've got to listen to the people. If the nation is screaming out loud, ‘We need health care reform. We want to have universal health care. We want to have everyone insured. We want to bring the costs down. We want everyone to have access.’ I mean, that's what they want; that's what you do,” Schwarzenegger said on ABC’s “This Week.” Arguing that California Republicans were out of touch with the majority of...

State Attorney General Jerry Brown today urged the California Supreme Court to review legal challenges to Proposition 8, but steered clear of taking a position on the gay marriage ban measure approved by voters. In a written responses to three lawsuits seeking to overturn the initiative, Brown's office said the state's highest court should allow the measure to remain in effect during the review period because of the confusion that a stay of the measure would cause. "Due to the potential uncertainty that may be caused in important legal relationships by a temporary stay, the public interest would be better...

When the state legislature twice handed Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger a bill to legalize marriage equality in California, Schwarzenegger vetoed it both times, saying that it was an issue for the courts to sort out. Now, following voter approval of Proposition 8, a constitutional amendment that revokes the right for gay and lesbian families to marry, Schwarzenegger is repeating that sentiment. The governor went on the news program This Week With George Stephanopoulos to say that he opposes the new amendment, but he believes that the state’s Supreme Court--which found state laws barring same-sex families from marriage to be unconstitutional last...

Arnold Schwarzenegger also opposes Prop. 8.

Sacramento -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who promised not to sign any bills until lawmakers reach a budget deal, reversed his position today and signed a bill for a statewide bullet train system that he strongly supports. The governor also wants to make exceptions for three other proposals that he has been promoting: budget reform; changing the state lottery to allow California to borrow against future ticket sales; and a bond proposal for water infrastructure. The high-speed rail legislation will replace a $10 billion bond measure on the November ballot with a revised version of the proposal that makes the bullet...

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a quick-trigger, guns-a-blazing action hero in Hollywood, is being blasted by firearms groups as a Second Amendment wimp in the Capitol. Schwarzenegger's signing of bills to require microstamping of semiautomatic pistols and to ban lead bullets in condor country has prompted gun groups to paint him as one of the state's most anti-gun Republican governors. "Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger might as well change his last name to Kennedy because he is acting just like radical, anti-gun U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, his uncle-in-law," read a recent statement by Gun Owners of California, a nonprofit advocacy group. "We don't believe...

Chafee quietly quits the GOP 01:00 AM EDT on Sunday, September 16, 2007 By Bruce Landis Journal Staff Writer PROVIDENCE — Lincoln D. Chafee, who lost his Senate seat in the wave of anti-Republican sentiment in last November’s election, said yesterday that he has left the party. Chafee said he disaffiliated with the party he had helped lead, and his father had led before him, because the national Republican Party has gone too far away from his stance on too many critical issues, from war to economics to the environment. “It’s not my party any more,” he said. Duke lacrosse players owe woman apology Tuesday, April 17, 2007 3:32 AM I respond to the Associated Press article in Thursday's Dispatch, "All charges dropped against players," regarding the Duke lacrosse rape case. As a 24-year-old white, male college student, I am appalled that a case so pregnant with issues of race, gender, income disparity and prejudice has been swept under the rug. Even if these young men did not rape this young woman, they still acted in a racist, misogynist manner that should not be condoned in any society. It is disheartening to think that these young men are...

The latest point of emphasis in the global warming movement is that cattle farming endangers the planet by producing too much methane.
