The American singer and activist Harry Belafonte called President Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world" on Sunday and said millions of Americans support the socialist revolution of Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez.

Belafonte led a delegation of Americans including the actor Danny Glover and the Princeton University scholar Cornel West that met the Venezuelan president for more than six hours late Saturday and attended his television and radio broadcast on Sunday.

Danny Glover and Harry B.: a couple of millionaires who've benefited from America's freedoms...going abroad and attacking the leader of the War on Terror.

In other words, idiots.

I guess in a nation of roughly 275 million people, you could find a few million in blue-state metropolises and college campuses who buy Che Guevara t-shirts. So Whattin' Freak. They are as insignificant as Glover is to the movies and Belafonte is to music. The Democrats are about to learn this lesson again.

If I cared whether or not Belafonte lost his voice for good, I'd tell him to take a Sucrets.

This goes beyond the usual "Hollywood idiot" stuff. This guy is willfully engaging in treason, and he should be treated that way. By calling our democratically-elected president a terrorist and a tyrant, he is implying that over half of the population of the US, who voted for him, are terrorists. He is encouraging hatred of Americans around the world, in a time when Americans are already prime targets for assasins. If Belafonte sets foot on American soil again, he should be arrested and hanged.

And lets not forget his comment about Powell. The irony is, he is what he said Powell was and is far too ignorant and arrogant to understand such complexities.

I agree with you, but just let some sports commentator say that one race is stronger than another, heads start to roll and you would think that the unpardonable sin had been committed.

..."Don't let them back in the US, liquidate their assets and give the the poor. Make their million dollar estates homeless shelters..."...

This would be effective in stopping Belafonte and others who seem to be engaged in trying to incite the overthrow the American Government. It looks as though he believes he would share in the power of a dictator who is successful in overtaking our system of Democracy. What other conclusion can we come to when we read about his words and his actions?

When I was a kid I used to watch movies with Harry, Sidney poiter (sp), and Lena Horne. I admired them as black entertainers opening the way for other minority entertainers to share in the fame and fortune of Hollywood and the American dream.

Seems that in Harry´s and Danny's case my admiration was misplaced.

Why would we think what an entertainer or professional athlete has to say is important? Are they superior to us in any way when it comes to being informed about political issues?

No, I agree and that may be one of the reasons why Hollywood is complaining about the current slump in the business because Americans are rebelling against these idiots by not spending their cash at the box office.

What I am saying is that these guys have become successful in their chosen professions in this country and then repay that opportunity with anti American rhetoric.
