I've encountered at least a half dozen paranoid schizophrenics. Invariably, they were able to present themselves as nearly normal over a short haul. Even their complaints sounded believeable at first. Fairly quickly, However, it became abundantly clear they were seeing and hearing things that no one else was seeing or hearing. That doesn't necessarily mean they were hallucinating. Rather, they were misinterpreting and magnifying--badly--mundane matters that a normal person wouln't think twice about, for example, they might discern secret messages from television commentators or coded messages on album covers.

If Tice is like other paranoid schizophrenics I've come across, he's probably able to skate by long enough to complete a typical television interview and come across as merely suspicious, not nuts.

Tice must be a libertarian.

Magnifying, that is a very succinct way of describing it. So very sad for those that need help for this illness. What living hell.
