I wonder what Quinn & Rose will say about this. They had bob barr on their show after he joined the ACLU. And Rose was still panting like a Beatlemanic.

I hear you!

Quinn has been ignoring Barr's "change" over the past weeks and months. I think he is totally grossed out about Barr.

And as far as Rose goes, I wish she would disappear from the show completely. She's a nice ebnough person in real life, but the show is 100% better when she is not there (Tuesdays and Thursdays). She cannot read script, she's constantly looking for reinforcement, and she's not real smart. Her preening and insecurity is painful to hear every day she's there.

C.G, what do you say?

;-)

I can't believe this is happening! The Bob Barr I saw on t.v. would never have self destructed like this.

Somebody must have found some pictures.

;-)

.....Bob Barr is employed by the ACLU.....

He certainly sold out. I wonder if he is bitter because he somehow holds the Pubbies responsible for the loss of his seat.

His actions seem somehow vindictive.

What the hell happened to Bob Barr that he joined the ACLU and is now introducing Al Gore at events?

I used to have a lot more respect for Bob Barr before the past few weeks. I know from where Bob is coming on this, but by getting involved with Al Gore in this, I think Bob has spent way to much time 'at the bar'.

It's all just political theater. Did you loose all respect for the Bush gang when they got all chummy with the Clintoon?

DICK ARMEY???? Are you sure?

The last I heard, Armey is heading up a non-partisan group (forgotten the name) that focuses on changing the Social Security rules to encourage owner directed investments. It has nothing to do with the ACLU, not that he couldn't be doing both.

Larry Flynt happened to Bob Barr.

And by extension, that means the Klinton's happened to him too.

Comparisons are odious..... in other words, your silly analogy is nearly meaningless and casts no light on much of anything.

No, don't bother to reply............... I don't want to talk about superfluous comparisons with anyone who makes them.

;-).

Have a nice weekend.

Barr got defeated when is Libertarian actions overcame his conservative phoniness. Gore got defeated because the people got see what an idiot he was while acting as one of Klinton's shills for 8 years.

I must agree. I find it increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to listen to the show when she's on. The incessant swipes at Jim, and the really adolescent commentary that passes for "analysis" is more than I can take.

LOL! I'll bet you did not want to be reminded of that. Sort of disturbing when truth flies in the face of your fantasy.

You are right it is legal...take a course on intelligence oversight.

These lawyer talking heads don't know what they are talking about, the President's authorities and don't want to acknowledge that the President retains war powers authorities and is the lead for foreign intelligence.

...NO PRESDIENT has accepted the "War Powers Act" as binding; Congressional FISA legislation is comformed with for reasonableness reasons-- it does not impede national security and protects rights, but the President is not bound by Congress on that either...for those who keep whining about FISA-- the FISA court of review admitted the President's "inherent" authorities to conduct "warrantless searches;" it is done for foreign intelligence not for personal or political gain and Congress has been informed...

Do not forget Article 1 Section 9...Bush can suspend habeous corpus and throw the NYT editorial staff and journalists in jail for violating national secrets and if he can do that he can certainly use NSA for domestic surveillance tied to foreign intelligence.
