NTLC Joins Dobson & Forbes: Endorse Kaloogian for Congress
Kaloogian For Congress Campaign ^ | 01/14/2005 | Lew Uhler

Posted on 01/14/2006 2:05:35 PM PST by Impeach98

Fellow Americans:

The National Tax Limitation Committee PAC is proud to endorse Howard Kaloogian for Congress.

Howard is a true friend of the taxpayer, having fought as a Republican Member (and Assistant Republican Leader) in the California State Assembly for lower taxes and constitutional limits on spending.

Howard Kaloogian also spearheaded the Recall Gray Davis campaign and during such time he demonstrated fearless leadership qualities.

It is those qualities he will take to Washington to help reign in the out-of-control federal spending, and restore honor to the legislative process on Capitol Hill.

I urge you to support his campaign online - www.KaloogianForCongress.com

Sincerely Yours,

Lew Uhler
Chairman, National Tax Limitation Committee PAC

And so it goes... the "mainstream" party pick will be Bilbray while the grass fringe line up behind Howard.

As a would-be constituent of either I'm already feeling the pain.

I didn't know that the National Tax Limitation Committee and Steve Forbes were "fringe" ?

Does it bother anyone that Howard has NO mention of any family in his biography nor does he have any photo of himself with a personal family?

Are we to take this glaring omission (come now, he's a politician) as they were all killed in a tragic incident or that he's homosexual?

I'm offended his website's gallery refers to Charlton Heston as "Moses."

Now you do. I have no problem with such fringe. I voted for Forbes in 1996 primary and have met him. But let's be realistic, Howard is no way represents the party's choice. Issa endorsed Bilbray, there's a big push to get him out front because of his prior congressional experience.

Also, I hate the phrase "grass roots." Why can't it be "grass fringe" instead?

Wow, that's a cheap shot! First you label Steve Forbes, the National Tax Limitation Committee and James Dobson as "fringe" and then you speculate on Howard's sexual orientation.

Anything else dismissive and rude you'd like to say about these conservatives with distinguished careers and service to the movement?

Issa endorsed Bilbray because he hates Morrow (who ran against him for Congress - sicne Morrow lives in Issa's congressional district, not the Cunningham seat he currently seeks) and Kaloogian (who he feels should have rolled over and played dead once Issa decided he wanted to enter the recall campaign as a means to propel his disastrous gubernatorial effort.

It's the pettier side of politics.

If you want someone who represents the "party choice" then you should support Brian Bilbray. That's how we get people like Arnold Schwarzenegger. We just go and pick someone who is the least offensive to our opposition.

If you want someone who represents the "conservative choice" then it's obvious Howard Kaloogian's the ideal candidate.

You chose who you want - I'm working for and supporting Kaloogian.

"You chose who you want - I'm working for and supporting Kaloogian"

I'm going to contact Kaloogian's office and volunteer for him, it's time for conservatives to get some passion back. The Dems. are on the ropes, a return of the conservative grass roots efforts of 1994 will be a body blow to the left. Any Republican losses in the coming elections will reinvigorate the left and the MSM.

or that he's homosexual?

I Don't know which Dobson is backing him, but if it's Dr. James Dobson of FOTF I'm sure that he's not a queer, and you can take that to the bank.

Nope.

Up until Howard Dean ran for president, he never mentioned his family, and his wife used to use her maiden name.

In a weird twist Time Magazine did a thing where they had pictures of all the democrats and their families, Deans pic was him sitting on his desk with volunteers.

When Steve Forbes first ran for president, people thought he was single (not until later runs, did he mention or show his family).

That said, if he is single, so what, am I supposed to be foolish enough or naive enough to think that a single guy his age is gay?

Or even more foolish and ignorant enough to believe the leader of the most socialy conservative group in the country and the leading figure on the christian right would endorse someone if he thought there was something "odd" about the Kaloogian?

I totally agree with you that conservatives need a Congressman who will stand up for what they believe. Most of the conservatives say they will do things, but then melt into the woodwork once they get into office.

Kaloogian is a stand-up conservative. He took on the Recall of Gray Davis when the Republican Party was against it. He defended Reagan against the smear by ABC when the Republican Party was mute. And he started Move America Forward to marshall support for our troops and the war on terrorism.

Kaloogian is a doer, unlike so many of our friends who vote right most of the time, but couldn't lead themselves out of a paper bag.

Kaloogian, now, more than ever!

I might add that it is no coincidence that real leaders like Steve Forbes, Lew Uhler and Dr. James Dobson all endorse Kaloogian in a crowded primary. They obviously know who the real leader is.
