I think an attempt to ban alcohol in Scotland is about the only thing that would really get the population pissed off and in rebellion mood.

You can't make this stuff up can you? Exactly how long or short a knife does it take to fatally stab someone? Is it just the point of a knife or the slicing part?
There is probably no end to things that can be used as weapons to kill people if you're that determined to off somebody. How about a sharpened rock lashed to a tree limb? Gonna stop all those? Pick up all the rocks, cut down all the trees?

Here is where I quit reading this mindless drivel. Any question as to why? I want to know what the other 48 homicide victims were STABBED with that was not a "sharp instrument." How many people die from a stab wound inflicted by a BLUNT object? See, this is called a beating not a stabbing.

What a bunch of morons! I use a 10" chef's knife for almost all my kitchen cutting chores, from the heaviest cutting job to peeling a carrot. It's razor sharp (I could literally shave with it). It's my food processor.
About the only thing I don't use it for is filetting fish, although I could if necessary.
All my other knives pretty much just sit.
Then they might as well ban ice picks, long forks, pens, pencils, and anything else that a person in a fit of rage would use to attack another person. Rocks too.
These idiots need to resinstate the death penalty and kill the killers, quickly and send the messagte that it is the behavior that must end, and not the tool. Typical leftist, socialist outcomes to their foolish stances and p[olicies.

Henkels make a damn good knife! Mine are a collection of samples as the ex worked at a cutlery place. Seen the real nice ceramic knives? I want them, but they look fake. Deceptively dangerous.

Usualy weapons and commercial tools treaties and regs are aimed at advancing socialism, ie. you can't be a cook unless government approved coz the tools you use require government licensing.
Also weapons treaties are often shaped by the opponent so as to make sure he is in a favorable terrain in case of "disagreement" aka holocaust. Such treaties thus are meant to favor the type of arms to be restricted that the gov itself is bad at wielding and producing. Because the gov. hires morons which can't fight with knives, usualy it relies on assymetrics which the treaty is to fit.
The box cutter attack on US airliners on 911 (and the disproportionate ridiculous response of having to shoot down 200 people out of the sky coz we are incapable of letting pilots carry guns) are a direct result of such treaties which favor foreign enemies. We can't fight skillfuly with boxcutters, but mooslims know how to slit goats, thus they have the advantage.

And they could climb up on the roof, jump off, and hurt themselves, so we'll need to dispense with that.
