If the good reverend wants me to have children, he can send me the cash to cover the cost. Last time I checked, bringing a newborn to adulthood costs about $1 Million. Each.

That's one of the points. It makes one grow up and take on adult mature responsibilities that otherwise people don't.

Ergo the liberal society of perpetual adolescence.

Not everybody should have kids; the survival of Homo Sapiens Sapiens is not in doubt due to underpopulation. As to whether it is demographically the RIGHT group of people having kids is another matter entirely, but I would like to PERSONALLY deal, mano et mano with any jerk who impugns that my wife and I made the wrong decision.</p>

It may well be that the people who shouldn't have kids are self selecting since they don't really bring any economic benefit.

I wish it were as hard to get a license to have a kid as it is to get permission to fly a high performance fighter jet, fully armed, over a city.

I'm sorry, but statistics like that are bogus. I know plenty of people who bring up children without a lot of money. If someone doesn't want to have children, fine. The mopney thing is a joke. I guess only Muslioms should have children.

Not saying whether you should or should not have children, but personally speaking, a surprise pregnancy at the age of 41 (after 13 years of secondary infertility) taught me that God can and does help His children.

I was very afraid about the money situation, but the Lord provided all we needed.
