CNN is still sick with Fox envy -- and it's only getting worse

These must be great days to work at Fox News. Not only does the 24-hour cable channel beat rival CNN like a sick, sad mule, but Roger Ailes is so deep in the heads of CNN's managers that every time they stumble over themselves in chaos -- which is often -- the chairman of Fox News looks like some kind of psyops genius.

If Ailes -- boo! -- isn't haunting the halls of CNN and driving CNN President Jonathan Klein batty with paranoia, then how else to explain Klein's relentlessly nonsensical decisions, which are driving CNN into the ground? What person rooted in reality looks at CNN and thinks, "Now there's a network on the rise"?

Well, apparently there's one person -- Klein.

These fools are so lost, it is amazing. Their rating continue to tank, yet their comittment to self-destruction and anti-Americanism continues, along with their dedication to negativism, defeatism and their liberal political insanity.

I never watch CNN for even a moment, knowing that the numbers will eventually doom them.

HA! Fox succeeds because they hire people that are articulate, attractive, and speak with a sense of maturity and confidence. One minute watching Soledad O'Brien on CNN tells the tale.

I like the Fox evening line-up. But FNC has been hiring too many Barbie Dolls recently in the daytime . ..

This may be heresy but I also think Wolf Blitzer is pretty cool. What kind of name is Wolf, by the way?

If Ailes wasn't such a brilliant businessman, he would be the funniest stand up comedian in 50 years. If you ever get a chance to meet him, don't miss out!

Isn't Klein the yahoo who made the comment about bloggers being "A bunch of guys in their pajamas" while he was defending CBS after memogate?

I bet we will regret that comment and giving rise to the Pajamahudeen the rest of his life.

Not only lately. I can't stand that newsshow on between Britt and O'Rieley factor. That pretty boy anchor just makes the show unwatchable to me. But......I guess it takes all kinds.

In the beginning I used to watch nothing but CNN but then their liberal, anti American message drove me to MSNBC. Then MSNBC became the same way and I started watching FOX after 9-11. Now I watch BOR sometimes when he's not trying so hard to be middle of the road but Fox is becoming more like the other two cable networks and I watch less Fox and listen to more talk radio.

A problem with CNN is that:

a) Conservatives believe that it is one of the mainstays of the MSM, and that it gives news that panders to the left.

b) Liberals believe that it is one of the mainstays of the MSM, and that it gives news that panders to the right. It is actually funny to hear DUmmies say that CNN is a mouthpiece for the administration (and actually that is quite an interesting portrayal of just how perceptions can diverge greatly, with both sides claiming CNN is a lapdog for the other).

Now, the liberals obviously think FoxNews is the, to quote DUmmie speak, 'propaganda' arm of the administration, and thus in general do not watch it, but FoxNews has a huge following (huge) among conservatives. However CNN has many conservatives staying away, PLUS has the more active left-wing crowd believing it is some sort of 'Fox-lite' (to quote DUmmie speak again). That is a definite problem for CNN.

Thus CNN is basically placed in a rather interesting position. After all, what is it to do if both sides of the fence think it leans towards the other side. Many conservatives would not be caught watching CNN, even if they bring JC Watts (who I have met and respect); and Liberas will see the hiring of JC Watts as yet more 'proof' that CNN is part and parcel of the Bush administration (aka Rove's masterplan aka inter-galactic conspiracy aka better-get-the-tinfoil-out-betty).

I have to say that I am very interested to see how CNN will get itself out of this conundrum ....if it can get itself out in the first place.

I am not particularly impressed with any right wing bias at Fox.

Fox is actually annoyingly even-handed. It is just that CNN is so over the top dishonest left wing propaganda. Not to mention that CNN is just full of really, really laughably poor reporting.

Great post...CNN telling us the shuttle was traveling 18 times the speed of light. These useless nimrods who claim to be journalists are always screwing up...they can't tell the difference between a million and a billion to save their lives.

I used to like him too when I first started watching CNN daily, right after 9/11. But one day it dawned on me that he was trying to sabotage public support for our military. He not only jumped the shark, he crashed and burned into the tank. Today I wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire. CNN's tanking ratings indicate that there are lots of people like me.

You know what? I agree. PLus what really gets me about him is his cadence and the way he uses inflection on certain words - it grates on me. Plus his jokes are 99% not funny. He should stop trying to be droll and be more like Brit.

For the most part, CNN has more qualified and intelligent foreign correspondents. They seem to get out of the Baghdad hotels more.

Fox has less impressive correspondents , I remember when they were using Orlando Salinas as their Iraqi reporter. . .lol

Stick to the hurricanes, Orlando!
