Statement by Chairman Martinez on Salazar's Decision on Alito
Colorado Republican Party ^ | January 19, 2006 | Chairman Bob Martinez

Posted on 01/20/2006 4:00:56 PM PST by george76

“Sen. Salazar is nothing more than a partisan pawn who is simply toting the party line of the extreme liberals within his party.

The excuses he offers for opposing Judge Alito’s confirmation are transparent and reek of partisan politics.

Sen. Salazar claims that he thinks Alito will move the court ‘out of the mainstream of American law’ – to Salazar I say, this vote is certainly out of the mainstream of the Colorado voters.

This sort of liberal behavior makes me wonder if Sen. Salazar remembers which voters he represents – liberal Massachusetts’ or Colorado’s?

It just seems, that if you have more than one party, you will have partisanship...what do people expect?

Wasn't the case with Ruth Ginsberg's nomination, now was it?

I expect an American political party to have a modicum of respect for the institution they're a part of.

Remember this lying S.O.B. bleated out that he would "be his own man" instead of harry reid's lap dog.
I hope the guys in Pennsylvania use this "Salazar factor" against Bob Casey who no doubt will say "I'll be my own man", as well.

And when has any democrat ever been truthful. They even seem to keep voting for years after death. Remember what a "true advocate" he was when Colorado needed a real Attorney General.

I realize what they can do. The question was what we should expect of them.

A moderate 'rat is like a "moderate" Communist. They are red white & blue before the election but red to the core when it counts.

Compare the look on Sen. Dianne Feinstein's face during Judge Aleto's hearings to one of the sinners in Michelangelo's famous Sistine Chapel fresco "The Blessed and the Damned of the Last Judgment."

I would imagine your expectations depend somewhat on what platform and who you support.
